  1. hi - what does your mentor/breeder/vet suggest? They would be the ones who know your dogs best . I, for one have no idea what to suggest , as I do not know what caused the diarrhoea in these pups - or what problems the small one may have causing it to not thrive...sorry . Hope it all gets sorted - must be a worry with tiny babies .
  2. Your breeder has given sound advice :) Oh - and we really need pics of to see this gorgeous girl ;)
  3. but AFAIK they don't need to be - really .... I have also used chamomile tea . for the dog to drink .gradually work up to full strength :)
  4. ..I would not think so .. the pheremones are a dog's own, so to speak .... something a mum produces without thinking about it ... ermmm.. I don't blame your dog for not wanting the oils applied They should used in an oil burner disopenser.. or on a cotton ball placed in the dog's vicinity . they are MUCH too much to be used directly on a dog whose sensitivity to scent , and ways of interpreting them are so much greater than ours !
  5. yes- do as much research as you can .. and only ever breed to make the breed better :)
  6. Australian bush flower essences are recommended for use with australian native animals - which makes perfect sense to me :)
  7. second the essential lavender oil- maybe with chamomile ..also ginger essential oil (for nausea.) I am not entering into a scientific debate about the making of the flower essences .. I speak as I find :) I have found it works with everything from sheep to chooks to dogs /cats - ..and figure that, as they do not know about placebo effects , something has worked ?
  8. welcome - but I'm sorry it's an upsetting time . if Archie threw up shortly after he had the drug , and it was a recognisable tablet/chew ..then IMO he would hardly have any of the chemicals in his system ...... I suggest you remove ALL food colourings /grainsfrom his diet - feed him a grain - free kibble -or switch to just plain ol' bones/meat/veg., using a meat he has not been eating previously . These are just my suggestions ....obviously there is other stuff to consider . I also suggest you change vets - write down EVERYthing the dog eats ...have you changed anything in teh garden ? had teh house sprayed for insects? used a different shampoo ? ANYTHING .
  9. ..is the problem an everyday thing - or only on certain occasions? rescue rememdy is one I have found brilliant with things like bitches in labour- thunderstorm trembles, car travel ... I've also used it with other animals ... but it's not for 24/7 use.
  10. Oh my - what a face! :) Love the photo of her with teh guineas :) ..and the cat!
  11. the play sessions/treats are given as REWARDS for things accomplished :) Things like sitting at the door , giving you a toy , coming when called, allowing herself to be medicated , lying quietly .... :)
  12. Tablets/chews are a fantastic training opportunity for YOU. Learning how to give your dog tablets is very important - plus it can be a fun thing for a dog - with a treat/ play session :)
  13. Oh ..and 'heartworm session" what is that ? is it the needle ? there is discussion about the various methods here CLICK HERE oh - and welcom to D O L - where you will get all the information you asked for - and probaly a HEAP you didn't
  14. yep - be VERY careful with a raw diet in pups - get calcium/phosphorous ratio correct . grab a supply of coffee & snacks ..and have a read of this thread- the complete works of D O L raw feeding!!! It seems you are feeding a lot of meat, and not much bone/other you only need a SMALL amount of liver - and some offal (heart is a muscle meat , like steak) Chicken carcasses are great ... chicken feet , kidneys, ..all sorts of things here is an excerpt - on feeding pups. from THIS page
  15. Lovely to see :) The beach one is probably my fave----but ....
  16. she is such a loved & lucky big puppy :)
  17. RedFox - yes , my point is that no one can say "there is nothing WRONG with a dog" from a few descriptive sentences on a forum. That's all.
  18. this almost impossible to state without seeing this dog , and the owners....
  19. it lets you edit - add titles ..and resize for posting /emailing :)
