  1. walking hunched can also point to tummy discomfort ...
  2. that does not sound right .. perhaps think of a blockage - or a sphincter problem ? Food gets to stomach .. rolls around - and cannot go further? poor sarah .... Hope the vet has some ideas . gastritis is another thing - but a few thoughts may be more useful .

  4. I think you would be better off getting a trainer in to help , if it is going to be a big deal - What you are proposing sounds awfully complicated to me , sorry . Some experienced person who can see Wilbur's behaviour could help you more..
  5. whoa!! Some amazing shots here - the flight ones are amazing :) ,and the head shots are incredibly clear, T . I love wetland shots - they always look 'right' dont they ? I took this a couple of days ago ... not a perfect shot ..BUT I was amazed at the formation :D (taken from a moving tinny , handheld , tamron 70-300mm) Australian Shelduck (top) and Black Duck pairs
  6. if a lead is mainly used to take her out to toilet - well, yes , she will not enjoy it ;) put her on lead when she's fed..when you are sitting with her ....so being on lead is something normal, and has nice things associated with it :)
  7. hi,, Lauren - how did things go ? Hope you're OK . We would love to hear from you .
  8. Where did this dog come from ? is he desexed? While you are waiting - do NOT let him off leash . outside of your yard,EVER. Practice recall in the backyard - a few minutes whenever you can - use his very favourite food to praise him when he comes . Only praise/talk to him /treat him when he is with you..looking at you, and doing something you like :) Don't feed him out of a bowl - feed him his meal during the times you are with him - when he sits, when he looks at you , when he comes ..he gets food . Practice your walking in the backyard ... Forget about being DOMINANT - what is needed first is that the two of you COMMUNICATE .... it is that communication which makes each of you understand what the next move will be - and what each other is doing . he has to learn your ways - and you need to learn what he sees- what he enjoys - what he gets excited about - YOU need to be the BEST thing - so the dog wants to be around you , to listen to you ....
  9. hard to tell - it could be a blockage somewhere... or trouble swallowing properly when she's asleep ... I have no idea , but I hope you have a successful vet visit and get it sorted :)
