  1. oh Blue doesn't have proper tigger stripes ..... Lovely tail though :)
  2. Before I die , I would so love to be somewhere I can comfortably have a Chinese Crested.......one day.......
  3. C&R you can poison the bamboo on your side of the fence ..... why leave it there to do damage ? :) Have you tried using glyphosate ?
  4. E.I - I have checked - they are indeed pure bread! You're lucky :)
  5. yeah - guess we can just be thankful they are not amazingly venomous as well!
  6. Would a vet be able to identify the cause of a wound by lifting a scab to actually see a wound? Somehow I have my doubts. There was no festering under the scab of my Rottie's supposed WTS bite, just a clean wound that healed rapidly but bugger about the lack of hair growth to the area. I know my GP can't identify the cause of a wound because she asks me what happened to cause it. GP's are lucky - Vets can't get a detailed description from fido ;) Could the lack of hair growth after a WTS bite be from the scar tissue after the initial bite/infection?
  7. ..yep - same reason 'hotspots' need to be cleaned/scrubbed . To stop the anaerobic bacteria growth - and also , with a wound of unknown cause - to check for any foreign material like splinters/grass seeds ?
  8. Hope this puppy is all that you wished :)
  9. I think we need more photos - just to make sure they are bred true ;)
  10. huntsmen are fine .. Funnelwebs would scare the whatsit out of me !
  11. it's almost Christmas! Did they get their tigger from DeShonko breeders? Do they come in a blue ?
  12. :) that's good news . I wonder if the 'gentleman ' has now had a haircut ? Surely someone will know him .
  13. No idea - sorry .... hope she's OK . My guess is the bite wound will show over a period of days ... IF it gets the infection. Can you wash her in F10 , or betadine scrub to really clean her skin? I have no idea - these are just ideas....
  14. Like my friend searching for a dog ... wanted a greyhound or similar - blah blah blah ... ended up with a Koolie bitch - who is THE most admirable fit and an almost perfect dog :) I have never had the luxury of choosing dogs based on looks :) 'type' maybe - but that's it .
  15. sounds good, Airedaler - except for ....
  16. It may not feel like it - but DOL has actually treated you fairly kindly I hope there is a breeder with whom you 'click' and who has what you are seeking. Good luck on the quest :)
  17. I would always ask - if I could not visit - to see pics of pups at home .... why not? I would also ask what pups had been exposed to so far ... what handling they had .... in regard to loud noise/other animals/household activities ...children..... I will never forget a breeder who bred/boarded cats ..and also bred Irish Wolfhounds . What a shambles inside - but how wonderful it was for all animals concerned - huge dogs/pen with pups in teh middle of the lougeroom /cats /kids/wild birds being fed/people coming & going ......she had lovely absolutely calm animals .
  18. It will be interesting to hear the story behind this - I do hope the poor dog is OK .
  19. Not sure what you can do I would suggest though , if & when you can to find a vet who can sedate him - get his feet trimmed bare of hair ..and try & avoid the areas with dry grass have you practiced letting dog have feet handled - slowly and gently ? It may take weeks ...but start perhaps with one finger on his foot for a touch - give him a treat ... then, when that works OK - maybe one stroke ...treat - and so on. Then perhaps , you can put boots on him. if you are unsure- I suggest speaking with a professional trainer....
  20. Great photos - :) may I suggest you get some non latex food handling gloves , DD :) No more smell of meaty stuff lingering !
  21. here's hoping - but it certainly doesn't sound like a sprain to me from your description. Glad they aren't concerned. Do we get photos of this little worry ? :)
  22. :) My guess is scar tissue - not to worry . Same if you had abdominal surgery . There is always a little reminder in the muscle layer under the skin ;)
