Hopefully your vet will let you do a payment plan . Do NOT let the vet talk you out of a biopsy - it is your dog , and your decisions which count. best of luck with it .

a bit more fat to grow on ..and some more calcium-containing food is all I would do .
-
When you're home - bring the staffy inside, on a leash :) What a shame she has to stay out ...if both dogs are on lead(chain) and on beds , chewing bones or whatever, things would be more peaceful perhaps?

awwww- little knock-kneed calf ........ Looks a good spot to be :)
-
That amount of exercise may not be enough for him though :) Exercise is NOT 'one size fits all' :)

hmmmm.. Ultimately , what is best for EACH dog is your responsibility . Your boy needs his walks, he needs to be out & about and doing young dog stuff - while it seems your girl needs a quieter lifestyle . It is unfair to the younger dog to spend life as an invalid , IMO. .... Depending on the stage of heart murmur - she may well be able to build up to a longer walk ... what does the vet say ? Other than that - if she were mine , she would learn to stay home with a treat/big bone/kong full of yummies while the boy gets his walks . OR , she would be safely strapped into one of of THESE ... and have an outing !! Oh .. and people with cute cavs HAVE to post photos for us to awww over ;)

:) she is obviously an effective dodger-of-lightning !
-
:) That is excellent!! I am very happy for you (all)

Cut his food by a third .. and yes, more trick training /ball chasing :) Can you not walk him by himself ?
-
Hi :) provided his health checks have been all clear, and he is on no meds which may do this , then I would think he just has a different metabolism- and needs less food/more exercise :)
-
Hi :) What breed? How old? Inside/outside? What does her day consist of ? How long since you moved? Did she start barking straight away? What training did you do ?
-
Your dog needs a separate well fenced enclosure - definitely. :) As you are probably learning now ..all a vasectomy does is stop sperm being ejaculated . it does NOT stop production of hormones, and all that goes with it. if you want to keep your sanity, and know your dog is as safe as you can have him ..then lots of training, plus a purpose built, dog proof enclosure is the way to go :) A good strong and high fence , with provision for shelter , and construction which will also stop digging underneath. :)

Real honey is wonderful stuff! Glad it's helping :)

You had an awful time losing your boy previously ... and I'm glad you have a lovely new pup :) Everyone has said what I was going to say - he will STILL want to mate , and can mate . Vasectomy will not stop any behaviours associated with testosterone , either. If he is not safely contained , yes, he can still wander . perhaps use money reserved for surgery on a dog run, or fence repairs? :)

My 2 ents worth ... ;) Unless he has a minor blockage , feeding him anything to stimulate saliva production will cause him more pain IF there is a small blockage in the duct ..eating something which ups saliva production may cause extra pressure to unblock the duct ...MAY .... and infection needs A/Bs first ..very bland wet food , and some pain relief Once the infection is under control, then maybe check for blockages due to stones/scar tissue..or a grass seed!
