  1. maybe try NILIF so all day ,every day is "training" ;) sounds as if she'd do well with that! it will keep her thinking how to get her next treat/cuddle !! Also when walking - include busier areas- and just WALK ... no chatting , no stopping to practice anything ..or say hello or windowshop .... or pee ... just walk , and reward her when her head is pointing straight ahead , and the leash is loose :) Do the same route every day for a while . there is plenty of new info, even on teh same footpath/row of shops. Scents and sounds are always changing! remember- she is not noticing the same boring shops/trees/straight lines - she is DOG and the minutiae are what she will notice ;) An ant, a footprint, a waving bit of grass, a food scent .....
  2. She is so funny ..(to us) and so serious. In her mind she is still top dog and able to stand up for herself ... in reality she has almost no voice - not many teeth and a tendency to fall if taking a sharp corner ;) The younger ones DO still fall into line ..and she can still sneak her way to where the left over cat food is ;)
  3. Good to the that goofy face back home :) I also like his new 'do' :)
  4. What does she get to see normally ? Does she come with you in the car ? Walk around shops etc ..sit in a park & watch/listen to the world ? \ if she doesn't do it now - did she as a little pup? edit to add - I am not a 'trick' person ..would rather have a dog who doesn't pull , and who comes when called, as the two most important lessons learnt .
  5. Hi - welcome ..and congrats! there is no "preferred" food - be it in dry/wet or raw form . Buy the best puppy food you can afford - change gradually ..and see how you go .
  6. :) This is lovely ... so much cute!
  7. Hope you found a vet who could help - poor Sandi . Oh - and you haven't failed him by lack of training , really ...dogs are like human toddlers/babies . Good Fences and harnesses/restraints are the ONLY way to make sure they are safe . :) he is lucky you are so worried .
  8. Thanks for the update, and glad he is doing well ????
  9. Hopefully all will be well - and it is unrelated to grapes .....and just a 24 hr bug .
  10. Hope this link works - CLICK HERE there are some great looking bins!! I kinda like the pull out ones - 1X20 litr, 2X 10 ltr .
  11. in a cupboard - or up high on a bench .
  12. well - it has been an adventurous morning! Smoke got barrelled by Bruce ..and came up growling/yipping/biting/chasing - the perfect working dog response!! I was expecting busted ribs/hip - but altho carrying one leg for about a minute , all seems well! THEN.. we had visitors call in ..and master pricklebottom came to say "hi" they hopped out their car, and fussed about him for some time - we were standing behind the 4WD and at the front of their S/wagon. THEN ..the S/Wagon crept forwards I yelled we all jumped out the way . Smoke was about to be under a wheel.. Someone used a walking stick like a hockey stick and lofted him into my arms ... My brother jumped into the SW and brought it to a halt about 6 cm from his 4WD !! PHEW... taken just now ....
  13. Hope you are doing OK ...how's your Mum ?
