  1. Ok - I would get the second opinion now , ASAP - no use waiting any longer, if he seems to be losing weight so quickly .And, if the diagnoses match - then you know . It is indeed , such a quick decline , that it seems decisions need to be made fast . SO sorry for you all - take lots of happy photos ...and cuddle your boy lots ..
  2. Don't think you HAVE to have a puppy to have a strong relationship :) My absolute favourite 'heart dog' as an adult was obtained by me at 2 yrs of age - we bonded in a short time - to the extent of him escaping from a commercial kennel situation, finding my car in the car park , and squeezing in the 1/2 open window , to sit on the the driver's seat !! What could I do , but take him home ? No way would I recommend a puppy to anyone with little kids ..yes, lots of families do it , but , as stated , it's like having another baby in the house!! Toilet training, chewing, illness, cleaning, play rules, vet visits, innoculations, entertaining, toys everywhere- AND the kids need to be trained as well ;)
  3. Good plan! If a professional is reachable- why struggle all by yourself? :)
  4. So, what does K9pro say ? as they have a deal of input, and know your pup MUCH better than we do , I feel it would be wise to ask them :)
  5. I would perhaps just use mince (lean) and wombaroo for a few days ? When weaning here , pups don't get kibble at 4 weeks - they get mince and huge bones with heaps of meat on :)
