  1. he is FINALLY growing legs , yes!
  2. Oh - and the snaphook is his 'symbol of adulthood' as he is on a chain at night now ... yes, yes, I know .... he has a lovely bed, a treat dispenser , a carrot or apple , usually a froz chicken frame - a few toys , and his cushion. There hasn't been a peep out of him - even the first night , and he doesn't toilet overnight , either . he knows now .. when I say - BED - he races over to his spot , sits & waits for the yummy whatevers ....he is a funny dog .:)
  3. "Do I look more like a SHEEPdog now ?"
  4. I have shared that - it's great ... I would just let the sheep find their own way I think .... throw something yummy into their paddock .... I'm a coward ;) I will show this to my brother too!
  5. Eek! I like how says' "thankyou" at the end - and uses the colours as commands :) there is no way on god's earth I would even BE there - let alone try & herd sheep that is one BIG drop down ..... Love the little dog's joy and speed :) thankyou.
  6. the pain of watching food come out the microwave .....
  7. why wouldn't you report it ? it is a danger to itself, and others.
  8. That's good news :) For everyone, it seems !
  9. Since january!! poor dog Definitely a Different Vet , I think!!
  10. That amazingly shiny coat gets me :) She really is maturing nicely.
  11. if this has been going on for some time , you do need blood tests and faecal sample tests to check organs like pancreas/liver - to see if there is infection /inflammation - to check for things like tiny giardia (which are not killed by normal worming)
  12. working dogs - once a day old dogs twice or three times pups/young dogs - twice .
  13. perhaps a second opinion is needed? Did the vet test a faecal sample /do blood tests? She may have a parasite .. or be intolerant to a certain food .. or ... It cannot be pleasant for anyone i would also be asking questions of the "minder" as to what different things your dog ate /played in/drank /was given ..or did she come in contact with any ill dogs ..... Hope she feels better soon .
  14. Sorry you're in Hosp . - hope you're out & about soon :) That's a great handyman OH you have - although that fence seems a bit low ? is that the only fence separating them from the rest of the world- or is it an enclosure in your yard? You could try, for toileting , a large rectangle of good artificial turf , with something like a large Conni Critters pad underneath ... that way the turf can be hosed, and the pad replaced/washed - and paving remain clean & dry :)
  15. ..and if anyone can translate my "links? puter not being helpful, sorry ..
  16. Oh dear I am so very sorry .I am glad though that this diagnosis was done with much explanation and caring ...Dear Bru - in for a time now of spoiling and cuddles and icecream ... happy memories and photos.I do hope some info in these sites might help you & your child .. \http://www.petplace.com/article/dogs/behavior-training/loss-mourning-a-dog/explaining-pet-loss-to-children-six-dos-and-dontshttp://www.griefhealingblog.com/2011/05/helping-children-cope-with-pets.html
  17. have a look at this thread~ grab a few cups of coffee ...dive in! I would suggest starting simple - using a meaty bone such as turkey neck or chicken carcass as a base ..
  18. LETTER TO Dpi and department of fisheries Local Councils Ban 1080 baiting
  19. oh - I thought it said banned *goes to look again*
  20. 10 80 is very effective ,BUT should only be done properly - ie: buried , counted, regularly inspected and removed if not taken . I am not signing - as I believe , when carried out responsibly , it is allowable . I HATE the irresponsible use of it , where birds can pick up baits , where domestic animals can access it , where no notifications are posted , and , in large areas, where people drive along, throwing baits out willy-nilly.
