that dog had its tongue caught in some sort of soft plastic ball - a 'pimple ball' , which is NOT made by KONG. It was a horrible accident. from SNOPES On 26 August 2008, the toy's manufacturer placed a notice on its site advising that the toy in question was being recalled from the market and replaced with a redesigned version: Four Paws is deeply concerned about reports of injuries suffered by some dogs as a result of a manufacturing defect in some of its Pimple Ball with Bell toys. In August 2008, we stopped shipping all potentially affected toys and implemented a recall directing all our distributors to have retailers remove them from their shelves and return them at Four Paws expense. Pups should feed when they want .... Mum should be with them 24/7 , except for toilet breaks ..and it should just all happen naturally - demand feeding :) Are pups losing weight, or not feeding?

yes! Not his choice - think of him as a human toddler who won't do similar .. does the toddler get to make the rules? Noooo - even tho they try hard!!

..I will have to get larger kibble - Don emptied the wobbler in a very short time ......he did enjoy it, and batted it around for several minutes afterwards though :) Too easy!

have you a list of questions to ask the breeder? Some you might want to consider are mentioned in here . CLICK HERE a sample : Is the breeder open to questions and do they provide a complete history of the puppy? Is your puppy bred to be a pet and free from known inherited disorders? Does the breeder offer to provide ongoing support and information after purchase? Does the breeder provide references to back up what they have told you?

Just soak kibble in milk , perhaps .. warm, not boiling. she doesn't really need water added - let her have access to water if she's thirsty .... She will only have a tiny tummy yet - so yes..let her eat as much as she wants 5 times a day :)

So very lucky . ours are always tied short and securely ...bet that man learned a valuable lesson today .

my dog used to blanket suck and foot chew ... chiropractic did help to an extent ..but basically I let him have his 'blankie' - a very holey piece of vet bed on which to do his calming activity ... it was never a real problem ...

She doesn't need water yet - just lots of milk especially for puppies ..and a little kibble . she will probably need 6 or so meals a day. separate milk and kibble meals .Please don't syringe until you really have to ..it can be dangerous . She is old enough to lap , just won't know what water is just now . I would be offering warm milk at least 5 times a day ..and leaving dry puppy kibble out 24/7 for her.Place a tip proof small bowl of water where she can access it 24/7 ..she will seek it out eventually . large meaty bones are also a great food source - she will suck/chew meat off :) Use meaty beef backbones, or turkey necks .... Sleeping ? In a box/crate alongside your bed . Put a big soft toy or two in there, and a heat source , like one of these .... or a LARGE wheat pak/bag securely wrapped. at one end of the crate put pee pads - although she is very young to expect any sort of 'training' yet , she should toilet away from her bed/food..and be given plenty of room to do so. use baby gates or something , let your old dog have his space :)
