  1. Sounds as if she goes off your list of clients - it's not worth risking your own dog's life!
  2. LG ..a lot of it is luck ;) thanks.
  3. Glad she is feeling a bit better now :)
  4. catbrit - yes .. I also suggest a specialist vet if you have not done so.
  5. Thank you all - :) I tried to just catch 'the' look :)
  6. What a sensible question :) training, training, training ... good communication between both of you is the key to it all . If , as a youngster, he looks to you for everything wonderful ...and knows his lessons - that's a perfet start . you may have read this already - but will post it again :) Socialising your pup
  7. this has not been edited to enhance shape or anything ....
  8. oh damn . I am sorry. You & Amber have been working so hard with such good results :) Fingers crossed, hugz and healing thoughts.
  9. Your girls looks beautiful :) I am SO sorry about Carny . losing a best friend horse is one of the hardest things .I will be thinking of you ..and imagining him, freed from this tired old body - kicking up his heels as he heads for the slushie bucket over the rainbow bridge ;)
  10. oh - I hadn't seen it . I think Stan Greyhound should wear one ;)

  12. oh - re reading .. there is excitement ..and there is ANXIETY ... I am perhaps leaning the anxiety rote now ... Ok - I have found something for you to read ..from HERE, an article by behaviourist /trainer , Mark Singer . an excerpt :
  13. A natural remedy ? yep . Training to be calm ...giving that little busy brain LOTS of stuff to learn ..and teaching appropriate behaviour around people. tell me - if you had a 3 yr old child who ran up to visitors, climbed on their laps , and interrupted every conversation - would you be using a supplement/medication, or would you be teaching how to behave when the visitors are there ? ;) It's not a great leap from that scenario, to a terrier ...really .....
  14. Cha- I agree! he sounds a bit like a pushy teenager ;)
  15. please do NOT stop the grumbles - that is a warning ..and if the pup does NOT listen - next may be a snap . IF there is NO grumble - and just a snap/bite ... because the lab feels insecure now his owner won't let him warn the pup ..he could do damage to try & rein the youngster in . I would be teaching the youngster to sleep in a crate/pen to give the old boy some well deserved peace & quiet . In our porch at present are 4 dogs - all in their OWN beds .. rarely do any of ours share a bed past puppyhood.
  16. Sorry - you must have the wrong puppy identified - THAT face can do no wrong!! ;)
