  2. I have always been a BIG believer in calcium during whelping ... back in a previous life, whelping lab bitches , if there was a slacking off ..it would be LOTS of calcium , and a couple times running up/down about 5 stairs/steps . Very rarely failed :p
  3. Thistle is just wonderful ..and looks to have all her recreation sorted!

  7. Oh Dear - I can understand some of your frustration .. you had your hopes & dreams pinned on this pup's performance /looks ..and now they seem to have vanished . Do you not love your pup for what he is ? Will you not love him and care for him regardless? he may well have some hairless spots around tooth holes ... As for the 'socialisation' My suggestion is to get in touch with the K9 Pro crew ! They are the experts . :) oh .. and I know a lot of kelpies who thrive in suburbia ....

  11. Poster hasn't but doesn't say about partner oops .. forgot that was in first post perhaps they are more confident than I , but a 'guard dog ' breed wouldn't be my choice for a first dog ... it isn't now either ;) They'd be smarter than I .....
  12. Have you owned/trained a dog previously ? That may also influence the type of dog/ training ...
  13. the puddles have dried out now ... what a shame :p
  14. :) GB .. now you have a proper baying hound :)
  15. And this part is 90% up to YOU , and your commitment to making sure a dog has every opportunity top be active and engaged in mind & body . There are many breeds who are not large , but can bark loudly ... and, yes, a pure breed , by all means , however, most any black/brindle dog can make someone think twice ...
  16. LOL - that's a great shot, P C .. he is really stretching out!!
  17. they belong to Marcus and I've told him that for years that he could have a little side earner being a hand model, I think I even mentioned his lovely hands way back with Widget's litter. He thinks they're not Anglo Saxon enough, I tell him that's part of the appeal but he's not interested. tell him they are just beautiful ..... :)
  18. Oh :D Welcome little ones :) Glad to read everyone's doing well ... and the photos are great ( who is the hand model ? those hands deserve photos of their own!! ) Hope you got some sleep, and that Neko is bright eyed and feeling OK
