  1. Not against the law in Victoria (farming lobby) and I understand quite the most humane way if done properly, I would rather be shot if I didn't know it was coming than be given a green needle which always must be traumatic to a sentient animal...no matter how tastefully it is handled our dogs' lives are ended by our hand . They have no idea , are at home alongside us , and it is instant . Not sure of the point of that story - life with that breeder doesn't sound enviable
  2. sounds like they were the lucky ones .
  3. The veiled lady , and tail-tip waggings
  4. Sorry, no more photos allowed- because she has one of THE most appealing little faces- and it makes me go all soppy !!! She is just beautiful :)
  5. Another in agreement here - how are you managing this behaviour ?It can be very hard to stop ! :)
  6. Oh, Juice - it's so hard . You are correct - she has grown up with an entirely different life ..she is perhaps just over stimulated with everything ....Hopefully, you can get a GOOD professional in to assist.
  7. I would be happy to leave them if one or both were mine .....
  8. Except when HE has food !
  9. it's time to call in the professionals! could be a number of things - but I lean toward an anxiety / lack of 'social' skills ..perhaps even separation anxiety at this stage - she appears to have had a very deprived and insular upbringing ..and may never have learned simple things - like how to cope with new things if you are committed - then you have my respect .She would not be a dog I would take on , unfortunately .
  10. Oh ????That sounds just terrible.
  11. No. There have been fossils found in other cliffs 20 km away, none here as far as I know.
  12. :) we have one who does the same ....very helpful ;)
  13. Excellent advice - tried & true .
  14. ..and Miss Molly won by a nose ;)
  15. :) maybe I'll have a play around with the collar - make it darker .... thanks.
  16. yes, it's meant to look like a really old, blurry and faded 'lurcher' pic .
  17. ..or buy him some CONNI pads or other indoor loo ..so he has no need to go outside ? poor old boy ... Also , change his food, so there is less mess, and change the time of feeding - so he may not poo at night?
  18. the pic of her with the bark roll is just wonderful :) She IS TEENY !!
  19. oops - herding breed - wheels - it happens a lot I presume you have trained pup to walk without the presence of the pram ? have you been to a puppy school?/trained in the backyard ? She is a baby .. and will be a bit bored with just a stroll , when alongside her , there are moving things which her instincts tell her to CHASE/herd/nip! IF she walks beautifully on a lead - with no pram , and listens to you - THEN you will find it much easier to walk her with the pram . Also - by just using the pram in the yard ..you can train her to ignore wheels - use treats to get her to pay attention to YOU - not the wheels , maybe ? I will stress that she needs a couple of obedience sessions each day , plus LOTS of interactive toys - balls, plastic drink bottles with a few bits of dry food in , a sandpit , deer antlers or big bones to chew ...all that sort of thing to stimulate /exercise her brain, instead of the pram wheels ;)
  20. ..Not sure , but I think laughter is the best option - We now have TEAMWORK > Molly jumps on the top half of the door , and as she does, the door swings open a crack, enabling Puddenhead to open it . Last night I heard a bang- and TWO leggy beasts jumped on me as i was dozong in my chair ..... LOL> Y'know- Often I am glad this old house does have broken bits/no paint/no expensive things - :)
