hell yes:) I have such a soft spot for labs - worked with them for many years , owned a few ..and yes, have seen them bite/attack /stock chase .....
-
*sigh* killing machines? More like just pack behaviour, and opportunity to satisfy prey drive. I have seen a litter of labrador pups - 5-6 mths old ,disembowel one of their own .... I have also seen SWF's attacking sheep - thank goodness they couldn't do any damage , though they wanted to! I have been stalked by a pack of stray dogs who were habituated to humans /buildings Dogs are just dogs - and basically, they are predators , moulded to suit humans . When the moulding weakens , or the support isn't strong - things happen.

Dog fights are awful ..and when a human is then also attacking , the combination is very ugly . It is possible for almost any dog to be so focused that cutting off air supply is the only way to make it stop.Obviously the more solid the dog , the more difficult that task is Serious dog fights are scary. I honestly doubt that even I could kill an attacking dog by battering it - don't know .it's an awful thought .Point blank with a firearm, yes . When I was 35 years younger, fit & strong , somehow two stud dogs got put together in a small yard in a kennel . One GSD .One large Lab. All I could do was grab each by the scruff and hold them on their hind legs - one in each hand .... and YELL like crazy for someone to come help! Just in the nick of time , someone did ..I was scared for my own safety ... May I suggest , Scootaloo that you invest in something like THIS to filter out upsetting content. It certainly makes a difference! :)

just : wow. What absolutely beautiful babies , and now they are well equipped to face all the scary world throws at them :) <3 I will share the youtube bits to friends who are on their 3rd rottie boy , and who are just crazy about the breed . -
Yes. Chains are the go at present. A fence would be much more better, l know☺️ Promise to not worry you again.

Thanks for the concern, folks. Everyone around here is aware of the penalty for stock chasing dogs???? Our dogs are usually contained, but recently our 100 yr old yard fence collapsed- and in time a new one will be built. Until then the house acre remains just another part of the surroundings. It makes dog management tricky with no fencing for the first time ever. Avoiding our sheep, and Roos is almost impossible- often the Roos are only 10 mtrs. from the house and the sheep about the same. My dog training/management skills are terrible, and so we have those incidents every so often ????

Did the vet vax her while she was unwell? Hope not. Poor girl.

The Boss: Just found her - she cut one lamb out of the mob and had it out away from everything . She is listening, tell her she's a moll. me: Molly? You're a moll. *sigh*..... it could have been worse ..... sheep chasers are NOT appreciated

LOL> The Boss is way more patient Than I thought !! he had Smoke with him today . yes Smoke threw up all over the tray of the 4WD . ( The Boss says it's 'nerves' - and he may be right .) yes, Smoke threw up whilst riding on the bike ( one of the many reasons The Boss wears canvas "chaps" to protect his legs ) yes, Smoke did listen and do some work . yes, Smoke is the same as Don - can be with you - then in a millisecond has dashed off at top speed somewhere else completely *sigh* Trials & Tribulations!! ha, ha - Yesterday , Don's mum had 'an outing' with The Boss ... she has decided she's retired She will be sorely missed . She isn't called "little Bitch' for nothing ! She has always been a strong and intent worker . She now saves what she has to sort out the youngsters - like a stealth missile!! Luckily she does have another job ;) She is a great "meet & greet" dog when groups of visitors come . She LOVES attention, and is all soft & cuddly , and folks love her name !! She is also an excellent swag/couch/car seat warmer . Molly, Pudden & Ash 'put up' a very old and rather large buck kangaroo this morning . It is just SO sad , seeing roos just a few metres from the house , and so thin & weak This fella tried his best to stand & deliver ..but was wobbling and weaving ... Please let me know if I am posting too much of this stuff - And don't imagine a doggy utopia ;) it's a no-frills lifestyle , including off duty restrictions by the use of chains - tough love , and work which involves much effort , both mental and physical ...
-
We aren't to know you have checked out the breeders' pages - there was nothing mentioned in your first post ;) Sometimes it's a waiting game . I presume then that you have contacted these folks? Work out the temperament you want , the health , and the body shape/size ..THEN go for colour ;) look around and find dogs you like the behaviour/look of - then see if their breeders have pups coming up, maybe? Also, many folks buy pups from interstate ...if the breeder is one who produces terrific , sound and well-bred gold puppies , why not consider flying one over ?
