  1. Lovely colour :) That skin doesn't look comfortable ... but a good diet , with fats & oils should help. Ok - The food he's getting is not great quality Swap the 4X2's for a chicken carcase , maybe ? I second 3 or 4 smaller , more calorie dense meals :) Stuff like chicken skin , a shelled raw whole egg a day , and lots of fresh meat/soft bone . lamb & beef in particular are not as lean as roo . use necks/brisket /flaps /pelvis & spine . Currently we are trying this out - DOG Pro and it seems to be OK . yes, there are MUCH better foods available ..but this suits our budget - doesn't swell up like some kibble , and is very well tolerated by all our dogs . For our skinnier dogs , they get extra real egg , some household left overs ( puddings/ gravies/ pasta) plus LOTS of fresh meat /soft bone .

  3. doll socks ? temporarily - thumbs from gardening gloves , or riggers gloves .. cut to length, and secured with sticky bandage ?
  4. resize photos so that they are under 300kb - then they'll fit :)
  5. What area is the pound? Do you have a full body pic ? She's a pretty girl ! perhaps ask here ? breed club page .
  6. he may not have had much a) exercise b) food to build up muscle . Also he may not have matured yet? I will also ask exactly what he is being fed - and all that stuf :) It helps us to get a background. Did the vets do blood/faecal testing? may we see a photo ? We have a hard working Koolie who sheds & gains weight on a daily basis - he is hard to keep looking 'respectable' ;) he is really healthy...... fit as all get out , muscly and bright eyed ... With Mr.Wiggles, though, I KNOW his breeding , and his activity levels etc - with a pound rescue, that's hard ... he may even have some sight hound in him , which could mean he can easily be lean ...? Hope to hear more from you soon , so we can try helping :)
  7. I think names should be removed, un less you have permission to share them .
  8. I was seriously disturbed last night ...feeling something tickling my bare skin .... Tallie had crept under the covers, and was tail-flicking ! Not keen on that idea !!
  9. Can you drive him to places like parks/ovals/beach ? is he happier in those sorts of spots ?
  10. I'll see your Wikipedia , and raise you a Mirriam Webster . 11. LOL What a great photo :) One cat is enough for me !
  12. does he lie on a heating vent or anything ? do you use baby wipes or similar to clean that area? if skin is ONLY dry on his belly - it may be a reaction to something .
  13. Ok - but be aware - breeder's term arrangements can sometimes be messy and end in tears . Hopefully you are aware of this, and have researched :) As the others have said GET IT ALL IN WRITING , and signed . Enjoy puppy breath! :)
  14. hadn't actually thought of that !! All I was worried about was it slipping past me & thru the open door straight on top of tallie & Molly ..and heaven knows what would have happened then! :) but it didn't ..and all's well.
  15. It is a great idea - if the vet will do it :) Lovely thought.
  16. ..slightly OT .... *goes to have a cup of tea, a bex, and some sort of a lie down!* never a dull moment here - Pudden & Ash & Don are chained up close to the back door /porch at night ... they bark ..often... at any other dog , or owls, or things that go 'bump' in the night ... I was taking out a bag of rubbish - when I thought I'd see what had the dogs so excited this time !! Yes, then I heard a 'bang' on the back door -thought it was probably Fred or someone else of the dog persuasion - and opened the wooden door , the screen door -felt a 'bump' then said a rude word and side stepped smartly to stop a large, VERY fluffed up and panicked feral CAT from coming into the Kitchen!!!! What sort of a dim witted cat would come within coo-ee of a house surrounded by dogs ? Obviously one which was attracted by food - and snuck close before the dogs awoke , and , then surrounded, chose the porch and lights instead of fierce dogs . I do think he's still running ... as in his panic he ran, hit a wall , bounced back and hit my legs - took flight, got tangled in a cardboard box - then escaped into the 'jungle'. We walked & searched - Don thought he was up in a tree ( standing on hind legs , gazing upwards & sniffing loudly, then sitting)- but i couldn't see anything . Hopefully he won't return soon - ... We dispatched one a couple of days ago - Molly & Smoke found and cornered it ... Hope it does not signify a 'plague' of cold and very hungry , risk taking ferals .
