  1. What a worry Hoping the new AB's will do the trick . Luckily it is an open pyo ...
  2. bugga . Sending thoughts ..and hopes for good news.
  3. Walking on sand/footpaths etc regularly will naturally dry out and toughen his pads :) for sure short term he will ouch a bit ... he will also learn very quickly where to walk , and how to remove stuff from his feet . Dogs are far more adept at this sort of adaptation then we are ;)
  4. Our pups quickly learn to pull out their own prickles ..and their pads toughen up quickly :)
  5. guess it depends on where you'll be living, and what areas you will be taking your dog :) I would not imagine most ovals/parks to be a prickle worry ..nor made footpaths or beaches ... I live inland, rural , and the ground is covered with several different prickly things . Luckily the dogs grow up with them ..get thick tough pads fairly quickly , & just stop to pull out prickles when they need to ;)
  6. Don dog looking gorgeous :) ( even tho the foto's phuzzy ) This morning's "let's get ASH" party
  7. Love this, shes beautiful! :) I also think so .
  8. That's all encouraging news - here's hoping !
  9. :) maybe he'd enjoy a beanbag? makes a noise and moves around like kitty litter ... even an old human beanbag ..empty about a third of the beans out :)
  10. I just wrote a very long post - but it got eaten .. in a few words - take care - think of exactly what it is Annie has to give , and how much of her life is spent being anxious /reactive . think of her being yet somewhere else ...more new people..more experiences .... Is it fair on her ? Will there be someone who can provide her with what she needs? is she a liability? This sort of dog is so difficult .. thinking of you - been there, done that ,
  11. 'Molly, PLAY with me !' Ash ....
  12. But would an African Swallow have the required air-speed velocity to grab a Chihuahua puppy? Yes - if it was already unladen. I see what you did there :p
  13. Ok - so the house has carpet . if you use one or more of these - there will be no problem , as they are VERY absorbent , and easily washed/dried . I have a litter tray sitting on one - and use them almost everyday for lining beds /crates/ in case of accidents ... Conni Critter pads
  14. Poor Scottie ... Lots of 'little things' , which when combined add up to a general feeling 'off' , I'm sure . he is getting good care - and you are certainly doing everything you can - he is a lucky lad to have an observant and willing slave ;)
  15. Awww- they all have their special stories to tell ...
  16. it seems his current beds , or more likely their position are not what he wants/needs. What happens if you (temporarily) move the tray, and put a bed there ? That way you may find out if he needs/wants a cosy corner/protected space ..or if it's the feel/smell of the litter he is searching for . has he had a vet check lately?
  17. :) Barking at you to hurry you up sounds GREAT :)
