CLICK HERE excerpts : In the kitchen we hung three half-filled zip lock bags of water, with four pennies in each bag. There. We had our natural fly killer up and were waiting for the flies to land — somewhere but on the dog waiting patiently below the zip lock bag to see what would happen next. We had tied the closed bags with a twine and hung them (with most of the air removed) in varied corners in the kitchen, porch and outside patio. Within one hour, over 3/4 of the flies were gone. How it happened, we do not know. and May 16th, 2009 Regarding the science behind zip log bags of water? My research found that each of the millions of molecules of water presents its own prism effect and given that flies have a lot of eyes, to them it’s like a zillion disco balls reflecting light, colors and movement in a dizzying manner.

The dynamics of dog . LOL -
i honestly thought it was torture at first ..but to teh dogs , it was just another thing ..and it became normal very fast ... put gadget on ...this became a 'cue to poo'..reward..take gadget off , and back to whatever was happening before ... a few minutes ...couple times a day .... they were trained to relieve on command anyhow ..and on leash .. so there was no aversion ..it was all part of a process...

eeewww... I had no idea about that .perhaps it was to show how secure the bag was ? (hopes) We never did that!! It was only on for the amount of time needed to fill it!! Put it on ... dog poos..take it off . yuck ,if it's done any other way :(

Great !!

obviously training is needed to accustom a dog to doing things a different way :) ... after all - we put dogs in wheelchairs, in pants , bellybands- in elizabethan collars .. harnesses which cover a lot of their body ..all sorts of things. In a previous life, decades ago .. I trained labrador guide dogs to wear a contraption using small plastic freezer bags - as they were to be sent to High Density Japan ..and at work there was nowhere they could toilet . it didn't take long - I also thought it was odd/awful at first ..however , the main thing was getting teh dogs to toilet on command ..then adding the contraption we made ... and they didn't think twice !

this is all provided puppy is sourced from a reliable and ethical breeder who can prove that most likely genetic conditions are not present in parents ..and has taken good note of how pup has grown /what health protocol has been in place . Not sure of pet insurance ..but if a pup was to be food intolerant, or have HD , or lose sight due to something hereditary ... what happens here? I also definitely recommend going through a reliable and ethical breeder as well who health tests :) Hereditary conditions are covered by PetPlan provided no symptoms in the first few weeks of insurance/whatever the waiting period is...so medications for those would be covered/including surgery for HD... Dont think there are treatments for loss of eye sight/food intolerance though ? cataracts , entropion/ectropion .. all are genetic, can cause early eye damage, and all can be helped with surgery . re food: guess I should have maybe added that to allergic responses ;) Any of which require much homework and treatment ...

LOL... my Mitchell was a therapy dog , a dog who was perfect with problem kids/old people ... but who would kill foxes & feral cats very efficiently .

Crates are great when you are home :) When away though, pup needs to be able to toilet well away from food/sleeping area..so a play pen ..dog run is a good plan :)
