  1. ;) on seeing the dog looked to be male ..ad wording was odd ...I did a bit of searching GUS, the 2008 Ugliest Dog Winner .... at the Sonoma-Marin fair
  2. ..and it may not have actually 'happened' at the kennel ..maybe wear&tear that showed up just at that time?*shrugs* It will be better when you find out what exactly "it' is More spoiling for Scottie :P
  3. Well, a 'sore back' needs a diagnosis anyhow Whether it's muscular, spinal or whatever . Sounds very promising for the old boy, anyhow .
  4. Buddy being I D'd as a PittyX will no doubt play a big part in judgement of his actions ....
  5. More of the story ... http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-03-03/mother-to-be-charged-with-attempted-murder-of-son-at-moama/8321906
  6. I believe Buddy bit the mother and son ... I also believe it was not a pre meditated thing .. as I've seen a similar thing here when we work in sheep yards. A dog just gets 'switched on' by the movement and noise ..and bites away ... That case is just so horribly sad anyhow .. the poor little boy who survived - what scars and memories will always be with him ?
  7. you'd need to be IN the cool drink ;)
  8. Ok ... this week smartphone photo

  10. Hi - welcome ..hope we can help you and your girl she will now have a lot for her immune system to cope with- I wonder why the vet vaccinated her when she is already fighting an infection ... has the poor dog any antihistamine or steroids or something to stop the itching/pain? has she been tested for a fungal infection? Do you know what the allergy is? How old is your girl , and does she get itchy a lot ? if she really is in so much discomfort , and if she were mine - she would be at a different vet tomorrow . Tonight , if you can - find a supermarket or large healthfood place ..or tea shop ..and buy some (dried)CALENDULA tea.make a tea , let it cool ..and sponge dog all over - leave it on. It will soothe, and also help control bacteria/fungal spores. hopeffully you can find a vet who perhaps understands skin problems well

  16. I was always very safe with both my late boys . One was a cocker spaniel x, and one a staghound. No way could certain people get near me . No real training involved, and they were bombproof with kids/old folks /pets . if your friend is comfortable with GSDs - then I agree - start talking with breeders. Remember tho - if she gets a puppy , it will be at LEAST 12-18 mths before she'll have a mature dog ... I hope she recovers from the experience
  17. Vet is the best option , I think. It could be a number of things , and best to be sure with a puppy
  18. Ok - Smoke Pudden Miss Molly Don
