  1. If there are no fleas, he may have some pain, which many dogs try & relieve by chewing.
  2. Ahhh.. the benefit of hindsight As an employee, I remember those first pups , I named one after my Mum!! I also remember doing a bit of work with a Standard Poodle .. he was a bit too clever for many people ;)
  3. An old suitcase, a 2 minute surgery a Winter Molly bed - with handle for moving it ;)
  4. Glad to hear Zena's still enjoying her life obviously vets cannot predict things to the exact date - just work on what they know about disease progresses . maybe , if you can , get a different opinion , if that would ease your mind?
  5. So anxious about leaving my gang for 2 weeks .. :/ The boss isn't really keen on them ... and they certainly will have a very different time of it . I go away so infrequently that they don't have experience ... ... :(

  9. There is still one blue bed pad here which has been in use ,on & off for about 8 years!!
  10. Mind you , those pet ones survived a piglet's first months!!
  11. I actually prefer the human blue bed pads ... have used them for adult dogs - they hold around 2 litres, and tend to not scrunch as quickly ...I think the Conni large holds a bit over 1 litre?

  13. Cancer in dogs - Hmmm .. We have owned both male entire and castrated , and in 50 years that I can remember , there has only been one - and his testicular cancer appeared when he was around 12 yrs old.
  14. it is not essential to desex ... but it is more 'convenient' If I lived in suburbia , my dog would very definitely be castrated . At 2 yrs- a dog is mature - has done its growing etc , so it's a more preferable age - the hormones aren't needed as much.
