  1. Glad to hear Zena's still enjoying her life obviously vets cannot predict things to the exact date - just work on what they know about disease progresses . maybe , if you can , get a different opinion , if that would ease your mind?
  2. So anxious about leaving my gang for 2 weeks .. :/ The boss isn't really keen on them ... and they certainly will have a very different time of it . I go away so infrequently that they don't have experience ... ... :(
  3. Our version of 'dog park' this morning .
  4. NO idea ... BUT we need a whole photo thread started please ! ???? please - what a gorgeous young man!!! Staghound? B/C? do you know any history at all? Is he lanky , or thickening up by now ?

  6. There is still one blue bed pad here which has been in use ,on & off for about 8 years!!
  7. Mind you , those pet ones survived a piglet's first months!!
  8. I actually prefer the human blue bed pads ... have used them for adult dogs - they hold around 2 litres, and tend to not scrunch as quickly ...I think the Conni large holds a bit over 1 litre?
  9. See You in 2 weeks, Enzi ! Gorgeous photos,as usual, @grizabella
  10. Cancer in dogs - Hmmm .. We have owned both male entire and castrated , and in 50 years that I can remember , there has only been one - and his testicular cancer appeared when he was around 12 yrs old.
  11. it is not essential to desex ... but it is more 'convenient' If I lived in suburbia , my dog would very definitely be castrated . At 2 yrs- a dog is mature - has done its growing etc , so it's a more preferable age - the hormones aren't needed as much.
  12. Oh - a new week - or something Miss Molly .. a bush baby ...
  13. basically it's knowing how the pup reacts in a given situation , and having patience . https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/655/21708330533_57ac3e16f6_c.jpg

  15. this week's- a moon-in-blue-sky pic
  16. our sheep, Bruce is enormous .. and we got him after he injured several family members (as a youngster - and demolished the rose garden ) Luckily, now he's into double figures he is keener to run & be by my side if the dogs annoy him than pound everyone into the ground ;) Alpacas sound good! With Trubs - for everyone's safety .. bars are essential .
  17. This is a tricky one , as we don't know what processes you went thru before choosing this pup from this breeder .. we also don't know how experienced at dealing with pedigreed dog breeding you are , or how deeply you delved into the breeder's history before you made your choice. We don't know how this puppy was reared at your home .. whether the breeder specified food/exercise amounts etc - All I can do is suggest you notify the kennel Council in your state , and ask them .
  18. He looks as though he has just been waiting for you to return after an absence .... I am so glad you are together again ;)
