I usually just have pics on my computer .. resize them to around 800X600 (usually just under the 300kb limit ). then click on the choose files option down in that LH corner of the post ...go to the folder where my photo is ..and click on it ..'OPEN'..then it gets inserted into the post ....and so on. Really, it takes about 30 seconds , once images are in computer, and resized

South Aus - rat bait poisoning increase
persephone replied to Mrs Rusty Bucket's topic in In The News
No surprise there ... increase in mouse numbers = more people using poison ... and , of course the P'd off neighbour or local evil person making ratbait rissoles -

What Silly Things Does Your Dog Do?
persephone replied to Little Gifts's topic in General Dog Discussion
awww.... LOL at Malcolm, especially ! I will go back in history some time, to Kieran , a 35 inch high, 44 kg brindle 'staghound' .. most people would avoid him when we walked around town ... His trick was to walk along in a crowd , and ever so gently, take hold of someone's hand in his mouth .. he had a touch as gentle as a butterfly .. however , it used to cause a bit of , ermm... upset ;) His tail, being long and whippy was also the cause of many men falling to their knees ! When wagged furiously , and connecting to the front of their trousers, it apparently caused a fair amount of pain !!! LOL -
A new pup will certainly provide a lively presence , and someone else to watch/play with and love Grief is an ever changing thing. I have lost many dogs over my life ..my first one, Cleve, was when I was 4 yrs old ! he was my first dog ..a young border collie ..and one day he chased a truck ( we live in the bush) The latest, Molly, left me a month or so ago ...and , although it's almost 60 yrs since I lost Cleve , and there have been dogs, cats, horses and others over the years ... it hurts badly every single time and the pain stays , ready to be revived every so often . You will find your way thru ... and this new dog will take your mind into new places take care ..be gentle to YOU ...

Would anyone recommend Hanrob training for life?
persephone replied to Zoeh's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
@Zoeh Corvus is absolutely correct in this comment I think day training is safer because you are still caring for your own dog. My suggestion is to ask folks on here about obedience clubs/private trainers . That way , you get an HONEST opinion, from those that have done the work ..not marketing talk from a business ;) In the meantime ..get to watching video clips, reading blogs ..reading and re reading the characteristics of your breed .. stuff like the following are a great resource : HERE HERE HERE -
Thanks for the update ! :D

Cruel? Being hunted by dingoes is a gentle death compared to what my Molly went through, believe me. As for muzzles, we have a variety, as we bought some, some were given to us,and some are fixer- uppers Good quality plastic greyhound/basket muzzles, or the squarer wire cage working dog muzzles are what the majority are

The other week I lost my heart dog Molly to a bait ..transferred by a bird the working dogs are muzzled if they are taken to properties who bait . Aerial baiting , luckily is not done here . Baits done by Gov't & a lot of property owners are counted, buried, and are at marked locations .unused baits are burned . Molly's death was caused by a neighbour who just threw baits around he lost one of his own dogs , so maybe he'll try & think next time. 1080 lasts for weeks , AFAIK. pray for heavy rain ..that will disperse and break down the 1080.

also didnt want something too large The size depends on the dog's size ..it needs to be large enough for a dog to stand on ..turn around /feel comfortable on .

One of the most favoured toys of all animals who have lived indoors ..from piglets/cats/pups/dogs is a rubber? babies ball, with the surface consisted of raised letters It used to be a dark pink .. but has faded heaps .. I bought it for Mitchell, when we lived in the City ... so guess late 1980's ? It's still rolling around somewhere .. if I find it I'll take a photo ( good excuse to clean under the couch )
