  1. Welcome What a cute puppy..an ESS . The best way to help with a pulling puppy ? Get some TRAINING , so You know WHY puppy pulls, and how to best communicate and teach puppy . Communication is NOT using a physical restraint ... have a look at these video- and I will give you a LINK to an excellent person with whom to speak CLICK Also @The Spotted Devil, a DOLer , could be a help as well.
  2. that sounds a description of a very lonely and sad dog . What breed is your dog ? I hope the balcony is well fenced - often dogs will try & climb over the wall.... to a bad ending . Where do you walk your dog, and for how long every day ? Does she enjoy her walks ? dogs are not people ..but think of this . YOU are living in a suburb which is interesting , has shops, a yard for you, good internet , and lots to see. YOU are moved to a suburb with NO internet , only office buildings, no shops, no public transport, and you can only see & smell car parks and bare walls. I think your family are maybe not BAD owners, but owners who don't understand what dogs really need to keep them happy and settled . have a think about if it's fair to everyone , this dog in the apartment ? Is it fair to neighbours, the noise? is it fair to the dog , the isolation, the lack of company and the lack of stimulation ..?
  3. ...he, he, he ...here am I , imagining a little old dog floating around the house , under a collection of bright balloons......
  4. yes indeed ... the other day I used the RFDS services , as I was not well enough to drive to town ( 90km) & see my own doctor ... I then was able to use A/B's from our locked chest of medicines ...This service is an oldish one , but now modernised .. phone/computer video appointments - without which , many folks would be very ill indeed! To have a DR available 24/7 ..and some serious medications has helped us a couple of times in emergency situations as well. back in our Grandparents' time ..it was be tough & hope someone knew something ..or die....
  5. That sounds a much better plan ..ESPECIALLY the relaxing on weaning - let them pretty much do it themselves ... This post might be helpful for you CLICK HERE remember , too , that parvo can not be killed by ordinary disinfectants ..it needs bleach , or the wonderful product, F10 , or other specific ones. bet your girl enjoyed her session of grooming
  6. NO YES YES Sorry .. but as you have said , you have no experience ..why on earth would you subject your bitch to this , when her hormones will still be all over the place ....what provisions have you made for the puppies on this day ? Someone home to feed/clean them ? heating in their bed ? and why are pups weaned at 3.5 weeks ? If it is because the bitch had no milk/other problems - then she should not be shown ... Please do some more homework on breeding dogs. What has your mentor advised ? Weaning at such a young age is unusual ..and not in pups' best interests... I took this from the RSPCA site . I do hope this is a "maybe" ..and that you have not already weaned these pups ..I really do ...

  13. Any particular cuts/organs/bones? There may be cheaper options . Also for any vege content/supplements
  14. I guess it depends on what sort of food you are feeding We may be able to suggest other meats etc to substitute for this time ?
  15. just for @Scottsmum :P Is Don. Is rained-upon.
  16. Horrible . Something obviously went badly wrong .
  17. You have confused me . TOT ( Triangle of Temptation) is training in drive . it is teaching the dog to WAIT until you give a release ...then it is left to eat in peace, or go outside, or play with a toy ... or whatever the end result/treasure is . AFAIK ,TOT is NOT about having a dog work, access a reward only to stop and start again .....
  18. I don't understand why you would do it ... dinnertime is for eating .
  19. maybe have a look at these links ? https://www.optimumpet.com.au/dog-advice/dog-selector/ https://www.domain.com.au/advice/choosing-right-dog-for-your-home/
