You would think so, but I bet some went for a drive while the inspection was on. They were still cleaning up this morning ffs!

They had to comply with rspca and council directives, rspca to sort out the enclosures and council to clean up the rest of the property and comply with infrastructure such as drainage etc. They also had to put in a DA, not sure what is happening there.

I think that is the council today.

The truth just doesn't generate the same angst though. The real reason is very rational and based on legalities, a bit too hard to get the victimisation angle out of it.

I don't think they have any intention of stopping fundraising while waiting for the application for a license. This is the problem with telling rescue they are saints, they then seem to think normal laws don't apply to them.

"Woolies just called Lola, they have revived a letter saying they can no longer look after Moorook with feed, how many more ways can they hit her" Woolies won't give you scraps unless you have public liability insurance, so that could be the reason they have stopped. I got the Coles scraps for the wildlife park and there was never any meat, only bread and fruit and veg. I think woolies is the same. ETA, unless it was dog food donations, in which case it should be obvious to them why they can't donate that right now.

If the aim is right then a bullet is a quick and least stress way of going. More stressful to have to make the trip to the vet if those doing it don't care much. At this point an rspca shelter there would do the least harm.

I know there are issues with council, my desexed male shih tzu escaped my house sitters and we listed on a female Pekinese, it's not great there. But if they end up there and get the green dream it is better than possibly years of suffering or being rehomed if aggressive. They just don't care about the community either.

There are groups who work with Mildura. There are things worse than death for dogs, such as being a permanent Moorook resident. For all their bleating about how much they care about the dogs there is a lot of neglect, not to mention cruelty. it is better to have no shelter than that place and I don't say that lightly. I was also wondering how much cleaning had to be done since they already had all those volunteers and a lot of time. So much for the we only have a few little things to be compliant speech I got. Have to echo snook, if it takes extra people to get ready for a late afternoon appointment imagine the state those dogs and cats were living in when there was one old woman and over a hundred to feed, water and clean. They can't hide the truth, too many people know and their own posts show it.

I'm sure I had looked through the pictures, then when someone said they couldn't see them anymore I went back and they were gone. I could be wrong but really did think I saw them on Moorook.

I thought they were originally posted on the Moorook page too, I'm sure I saw them there and they were removed.

Slow learners or deliberately flouting the law. They just requested that people move their direct debits to another account. They know this isn't allowed.

You can get some good stuff without the tracker on your tripod. You do need a telescope for deep space objects though. There are good freeware programs people use, stellarium to find space objects, sky map for android devices that shows you where they are outside then startrails and deep sky stacker to process. I have a few shots from a few nights ago but I am having a few issues with deep sky tracker.

Robert is on the rspca page, he might get cleaned up for posting in the wrong section but he won't for the content. There are some other voices of reason there too.

I just wish more locals would post, they don't like Moorook for good reason but they are worried about the crazies.

Don't worry, they get enough food, enough that they can afford to leave it rot out in the open. If things got bad they could send the dogs and cats to other rescues, they don't get proper care where they are so the sooner they are out the better. I have no doubt the rspca legitimately found enough to close them down so I don't think they'll be operating much longer. You can see from their posts that they don't really understand that they are in trouble for not treating age related illness, not for having old animals.

I hope they have kept records of it all, they might have to refund it, though I don't really know. That $16,000 would come under that too, wonder how they'll handle them getting that much money, can't really ignore it. Will be very interesting to see what happens.

You'd think they'd be more careful with all the scrutiny and pretty surprised Mark never knew about the fundraising licenses before, how can he expect to compete politically if he can't even manage to understand the basics. The rspca really have it in for them, looks like they are going for them from every angle :laugh:
