  1. Sounds like she stopped on the actual highway lane and hadn't pulled off. She was negligent.
  2. Yep, he has posted plenty of things knowing his followers would harass the people involved. That's the thing about ethics, you have to actually be ethical, not just constantly tell people you are.
  3. "The Australian Alliance animal welfare division, other rescuers and a variety of activists" That's Mark and his friends  I don't doubt she has a lot of enemies but he's being deceptive.
  4. Yeah, it's a live by the sword die by the sword situation for sure.
  5. I saw the talk of legal action by Mark last night, well, his alleged legal action because Mark's "stories" are mostly fantasy. Not condoning the action taken by OL, but Mark deserves what he gets as he is definitely not an innocent party. I particularly get a laugh from his web site where he describes himself as a civil rights campaigner and humanitarian, considering how he hounded a woman undergoing chemo and used fake profiles to threaten people repeatedly. Sort of the opposite of compassionate I'd say
  6. She gives as good as she gets, so this is a surprising press release.
  7. I'm pretty sure Moorook changed lawyers a while ago. I'm not sure but I'd say Greg will get struck off, being convicted of possessing child porn and all. He is appealing that but likely it will be upheld. Little birds say Lola is up to around 150 dogs again.
  8. Still going through the court process. Mark, his lawyer and Ena all still have ongoing court cases too.
  9. I'd be more concerned about a dog that appears fearful and backs away as a bite risk to you than one who comes up to you with relaxed body language. Even if he is not showing any prey behaviour signs with your guys I wouldn't let them out there alone till this dog is fully fenced in.
  10. I'd love to see the point where the cat impacts in slow motion, I might have to go to the library to DL it, I have been seeing it on TV only.
  11. That may happen, the dog might attack her of course. Other animal species do it out of instinct but we have the benefit of an analytical mind and getting the dog contained or secured is much more effective than acting as a distraction, particularly when you can't fly away or run faster than the predator  Still can't get over the cat's behaviour, just incredible especially how effective it was on a dog in full prey drive.
  12. Not her motivation though, her intent was to control the dog not distract it, I don't think we can create a different scenario when the facts have been laid out. I know I sound pedantic but we have been told what she did and why, from the source.
  13. The mother wasn't trying to draw the dog away, she wanted to stop the dog from returning to the boy not be a decoy. The explanation has been posted earlier in the thread.
  14. You should be able to find it on google by now, it's worth hunting out, amazing cat. The little boy might have been seriously injured without this cat being there.
  15. I've only house sat for friends, that's where I'd start.
  16. I think the reason you have house sitters is so your animals can keep their routine so I can't imagine telling the home owner they can't sleep in their usual place.
  17. I don't charge for house sitting either, I look at it as free rent and use of electricity so can't ask for money.
  18.  http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8048906
  19. They might have to go on the list of dogs to eventually own, they are gorgeous!
  20. I'd also like to suggest that people ask their SA friends to support P&K pets as they have gone above and beyond to support rescue
  21. How can these small businesses cope with paying for this in every area they work in, this is lunacy!
