I feed raw and things like yoghurt so meal times often result in my long coat boy getting mess all over his fluffy chest and face. I had previously been using a modified singlet but it wasn't covering enough of his chest or his ears at all, so he was still getting dirty. One day I was cleaning out old clothes and had the idea to cut up an old pair of leggings to create a better "fur-protector". Wanted to share this with those of you with fluffy dogs because it is super easy and cheap to make and it works really well. Failed singlet arrangement: It had nothing to hold it down under his chest so would just ride up as he ate. Super great legging arrangement: How to cut the leggings: Very easy to put on. Slide the shorter leg of the leggings over the dog's head. Bring both strips of the other leg under the dog's chest and around the torso, loosely tie together (shown in photo below). Muddy doesn't look happy in these photos as I took them the first time he wore it but he now associates it with food and happily wears it.

Check out Dublin Dog. My friend has 3 of these collars for her dogs and they haven't aged a day. They're water proof, don't smell and you just give them a wipe with a damp cloth to get off any fur or dander build up. She bought from the website but there may be an Australian stockist. They're really awesome collars. ETA: She has the "All style no stink" ones.

You could buy a dental scaler and gently scrape off the build up. It's very easy to do.

Are you moving to WA?? There is an awesome dog park that has opened up in Mt Lawley/Inglewood. It is fenced in for off lead dogs and has logs for agility and a good drinking bowl with tap. There seems to be a group of very dog savvy people who frequent it and I have had awesome times there with Ronin. I was thinking of organising a meet up with WA DoLers sometime soon. I am not sure if I would recommend it for nervous or toy breeds though as there are mostly mid to larger dogs that go there. Having said that, I have seen some very small dogs there, but most of us will then put a lead on and leave so as to avoid any potential problems. I was worried the other day when a couple of toy poodles and a trio of mini-schanusers arrived. But there was a bunch of mid sized dogs so they mainly played together. I was a bit worried when a bite-sized white fluffy ran up and barked at my 24kg Husky puppy - luckily he behaved well, but I grabbed hold of his collar just in case. There are lots of cafes where you can take your dog as well as designated beach and river areas for dogs. Where is this dog park?

I've had 8 panels outside for over 2 years as temporary fencing when my chickens are free ranging in the garden (we use the panels to restrict the girls so they don't come inside :laugh: ). No rust or damage, just a bit dirty.

Adorable! Muddy gets dressed for dinner too but he needs his manly chest hair contained as well as his golden locks of ear hair :laugh:

Pembroke Corgi ticks all those boxes plus you mentioned a "big dog in a small body" which definitely describes them. As long as she doesn't mind shedding fur, I think meeting some Corgis would be really beneficial.

All my dogs have become floor lickers when they get old. My vet said it's very common and is often an obsessive behaviour rather than something physically wrong with the dog.

Mine take no notice of it now, although when Moo was a puppy he liked to watch America's Next Top Model :laugh: Only reaction now is if there are dogs barking on the TV Sarge feels compelled to grumble, as if he's telling them to be quiet.

The breeder in question can jump in at any time, seeing as they are an active member of the forum.

SC, your cat is gorgeous! My order didn't have any weird powder. Could it have been from one of the products in the box? Was more of it on any one item? Did anyone else get the cheap nautical rope toys? I got a couple and wish I'd gotten more. They are a huge hit! Good for fetch, tug or just a good chew! I wish they'd given me an option about the out of stock item too. In my case, the item had been discontinued and they'd run out of stock. It was a lambswool tug and I really would have liked to choose another similar tug and just pay the difference if there was one. Mildly annoying because it was the one toy in the order that Moo would like.

Whoo hoo! When was it shipped? And what did you get??? Shipped on the 19th and then they shipped another on the 21st which I assume is the item they were out of stock of (they said they'd send it when they got more stock). It's a combined order with a friend. I just got a ridiculous amount of toys but she got toys, a crate, harness and lead and then more toys :laugh:

My vet recommends Zyrtec as the product she has found to work best with dogs. She rates Phenergan as second best and that's what we've used for years with success.

The clean run crew will only just be waking up right now so I imagine in a few hours when they've started working they'll "turn on" the free shipping.

Excitement urination is something puppies can do and grow out of it but dripping sounds like he could have a UTI maybe? He is soooo cute EtH! What does Esky think of him?
