Melree, glad to hear your little girl's ok - what an ordeal you must have all gone through... Bloat is something i'm absolutely 100% paranoid about. So much so, that it seems a lot of Weim owners/breeders overseas (not sure about here) are recommending preventative surgery in the form of stapling of some sort I believe...

After spending the afternoon in the garden yesterday, my grandfather ended up with four ticks attached to his neck He's in the Upper North Shore, so be warned - my vet couldn't stress to me ENOUGH how rife they were in the area...

I'm with Anne on this one, i'm afraid... Although if in the situation, I'm sure i'd probably do the same thing Persephone... anything that's short, quick, and painless is fine by me... However seeing a d*ckhead famiyl friend shoot litters and litters of kittens *couldn't be bothered de-sexing the mother* I guess I'm a little tainted by it... That and I had the most terrible dream a couple of days ago that Mum shot Tess... I woke in an absolute sweat and in tears... so I guess that the fact that this dream was recent taints my perspective a bit...

Monty passed just a day after Gabby... it was such a horrible weekend... the vets wanted to investigate what was wrong (suspected rat bait consumption) but we felt he had had enough (being run over my a car at 6 months)... Miss him dearly...
-
Snuggly and warm in her coat... (Reason for shagginess being it was Winter in Armidale and gets VERY cold)
-
It's been about 2 and a half years now since Gab left for Rainbow Bridge... she was 16.5 and was the dearest old soul we have ever encountered... Miss you girl Here she is just out of the bath

Like my boyfriend's schnauzer who zooms into the kitchen upon hearing the electric meat carver :D

Benson, was going to suggest us meeting together at a park somewhere as we live relatively close to each other... however I can see it now... Two weimaraners can certainly get up to mischief! :D
