Hi Jed, Just wanted to say I'm glad you're doing ok Keep on healing! Mollie -
See more piccies here. These photos remind me of the amazing benefits dogs have on the human psyche. I do wish we lived in a more dog friendly society. for what looks like a wonderful event. I hope some pups found their forever homes.

Welcome Hayley, I have two wheaten terriers. Wheatens have got everything; friendliness, energy, intelligence (too much sometimes!) and a sense of humour. I love how everyone is a friend they haven't met yet, and how I get stopped in the street for people to ask about them and people point them out from car windows and smile. I love their beautiful soft coat, and the hair that falls over their brown eyes and their big black noses. I love how they doing jumps and whirls when I get home from work and how whenever I start talking to Ziggy his tail starts going 100 miles and minute. I love how they give me exhuberant kisses I love how when you watch a wheaten run, you can see they are beautiful and streamlined because they are a very, very old dog breed.

I am so very sorry to read about Rex. Always remember that life ends, but love doesn't. Sleep well Rex, you were a stunner of a dobe!

And so unhappy looking! No smiles on those doggie faces ;) Neighbours suck.

Thank God Dogs Doesn't Hold Grudges Because...

I've locked Ziggy in the bedroom so many times it's not funny. He loves to sleep on the bed, and will often sneak in through the bathroom. I finish in the bathroom and close the bathroom door not realising Zigs in asleep on the bed. Anouk will counter surf at the drop of a hat, and she needs to be told constantly 'get out of the kitchen'. If I hear a noise I immediately think it's Anouk and I'll say "Anouk, out of the kitchen", only to have her peek out from under the coffee table or behind the chair as if to say "what??" Just the other day I stepped on Ziggy's tail and then kneed him under the chin. It's a good thing he has a hard head! -
After giving Charlie a formal name, I felt it would be fair that I would give my second pup formal names too I always love the name Emmy, but it didn't sound formal enough. Emma and Emily is too common, and I read a book and saw the name Emmaline and fell in love with it. So classy and old fashion-like. Charlie second name is Wentworth.. so I thought I'll keep the 'W' second name theme going. Although I'm a fan of supernatural... it was actually the boyfriend who thought of the name Winchester. He was reading up on guns and out of the blue he was like 'Winchester will be a good second name for our next dog right?' So, that's is how Emmy got her name... Emmaline Winchester Thank you for explaining. It's a lovely name

Just a question - why is she Emmeline Winchester? Are you and OH supernatural fans?

Willy is such a little cutie pie!

Oooh now I want clinkers... My Anouk is a carbohydrate addict. Bread is just about her favourite thing and if I don't guard bread very, very carefully she will steal it off my plate! She also has a worrying addiction to chocolate.

Ditto. BC/poodle is another possibility. Wow, I have googled border collie x poodle and the resemblance is astounding right down to the colour of the eyes. The only minor difference is the coat. The border collie x poodle has a plusher coat. Here is a photo of a border collie x poodle that I have just downloaded. Remember because it is a cross breed, the offspring are not uniform like pure bred dogs. It's quite possible to have a huge variety of different looks in one litter of cross breeds.

Whatever she is, she's just lovely. What a treasure

My two quite frequently have pieces of capsicum, and they've never had a problem. They adore it. I'm a little surprised to see broccolli on the list - I feed broccolli scraps occasionally too. Ziggy helped himself to my glass of apple juice the other week and Saturday morning he had to be made vomit after he discovered half a block of Lindt 70% chocolate. I was shocked because Anouk is normally the one helping herself to my chocolate! Potatoes contain a type of toxin which can cause poisoning in humans as well. Doctor Karl discussed it on the abc website. Apparently a lot of what we think is food poisoning is actually caused by potato toxicity. That said, Wheatens and other Irish dogs lived on potatoes and buttermilk for centuries, supplemented by the occasional rabbit, mouse or rat Mollie

Yay! Another who likes the scruffy dogs I met THE cutest Bearded Collie puppy one year at a show. I asked her owner if I could pat her and the next thing I know my ear canal was being excavated. They are gorgeous, but sadly I am allergic to the beardies.

Oh Magnus, I was so hoping you'd be found alive, but I know that you are looking out for all the other pups at the Bridge and that your spirit is in your mum's heart giving her the strength to continue fighting her injuries. I am so devastated. -

Come on Magnus, you reappear as your mum wakes up, best timing ever. I think we all need you to be found. I am so glad Jane is awake and stable. -

Ive got the easy bit - Im down south and co ordinating it all but Lesley and Marg had a hard day yesterday picking up the bodies and the survivors. Both will have their hands full ensuring the ones they have taken home will be comfortable and looked after as Jed would want them to be. 2 more bodies were found later in the day after Marg and Lesley had left and removed the bodies they found out - The two adult boxers who were found under Jed's bed so their bodies have been recovered and will be buried as well. So sad. There just aren't the words. I just want to hug my dogs and never let go. -

I was thinking this too. I remember how the whole DOL community pulled together to help Leo the poodle too. It goes a long way to restoring my faith in humanity. -

I am a member of an international dog list. Recently they had a little rescue puppy mill dog go missing in the US and she was found using a tracker. She, like Magnus, was very scared and the tracker saved her life. Does anyone know of a similar person in Qld? -

Jed's bravery is amazing. I am so, so sorry for the loss of so many of her beloved dogs. It just isn't fair. I remember DOL held online auctions to help the Victorian Bushfire victims; could we do a similar thing in this instance? -
