It looks like a curly coated retriever... Yeah it looks like Curly Coated Retriever x Newf, much too heavy for a curly coat Its a purebred! No not a CCR (maybe it could pass for an obese one LOL) Barbet? (Ive been googling curly coated dogs lol)

Yep! Wish they were here. For sure. I was only thinking this morning how much I'd like a coonhound! Ok, to search for a non shaggy dog... I'm not sure a dog that bays would appeal to neighbours though. My neighbour hates me already.... Better get two then! Two terriers and two hounds. Sounds ideal to me! LOL

A wheaten in the US was rescued after being labelled as an Otterhound by the shelter. He's now know as Otter. Given wheatens are fairly popular in th US and Otterhounds are incredibly rare, it makes sense that the shaggy dog is an otterhound and not a wheaten really...
