  1. ;) :D ;) This post has taken me half an hour to type but I'll try to get it out without laughing too much. Did you ever see the thread a few years ago written by a guy who was totally incensed that all people on Dogzonline did was talk about dogs? Everyone just turned around and said - urmmmm it's a DOG FORUM He thought it was more important that we talk about the half nude photos he posted of himself than our own dogs. Now let me ask you...what is wrong about that picture??? He left. He didnt get the attention he wanted. I guess he would have been better off if he'd been a dog, not a person. Some people just don't get it. They never will. To them a dog is just a thing. I feel sorry for them. yep i agree. i also feel sorry for their dogs Yes

  3. I think you're in the wrong place if that's your attitude. My dogs are more important to me than pretty much everyone. Sheridan, I don't think it's appropriate that the children can see into your yard. I find that to be a HUGE invasion of privacy. If it affects your quiet enjoyment of your property (and it is) it's a nuisance. Hugs to my darling Grumpy man xox Edited cause I just caught up with the good outcome
  4. I do love the coon hounds from the US
  5. I certainly will mollie!!! Funny you posted the "cut himself" comment around about the same time as I was cutting off his tongue Poor Dylan and poor you! I'm sure you feel dreadful! I often cut Anouk and Ziggy when giving them hair cuts. They forgive me fairly quickly LOL
  6. Allergies can turn up out of the blue. Suddenly the body decides that something perfectly harmess is a threat and the immune system goes into overdrive. Is there anyway you can take ALL your pets out of your house for a couple of weeks, have it cleaned top to bottom and then try introducing all your animals back into the house one at a time? Ollie isn't necessarily the cause. If he is, have you tried restricting him to one or two rooms of the house and keeping him out of the bedrooms? I hope you don't have to rehome the poor little guy.
  7. Even within a breed, the level at which the coat matts is different. One of my dog's coat is very, very fine, but very profuse. She matts so easily, whereas the other dog's coat is really easy care. There are lots and lots of variables.
  8. A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing.... I am very pleased to say that our local puppy mill outlet store has now closed down. It was an appalling place. It stank to high hell, and I saw people spraying air freshener over the puppy pens! Yay! Another one bites the dust.
  9. Dear Archie, I loved your mum's tribute to you. It sounds like you were a very, very special boy. I hope you are running and playing and enjoying special back rubs at the Bridge.
  10. Have you been spying on me Sheridan? LOL I have found, however, that if you can let the mud dry, it's far, far easier to just brush it out That isn't always an option though - case in point, when your wheaten decides to go wading in Derwent ' Sludge' and your wheaten dog turns black. Try 3 baths and a shower later and she still smelt like a swamp.
  11. That's really great news! May Charlie's condition remain stable and may he remain happy, active and pain free!
  12. A piece of Journey's soul is now in your heart, and a piece of your soul in now in his. xox
  13. Obviously s/he just wanted to improve his/her vocabulary :D One of my ate a tampon once, but the first I knew of it was when it came out the other end.
  14. She's mad at you. I left Anouk and Ziggy with my parents for 3 1/2 weeks while I was in Europe. When I got back, Anouk was so excited she almost turned herself inside out, but then she ignored me for a couple of days as punishment
  15. Spottychick, if you ever head down south let me know. I am sure that Anouk and Dylan could get up to all sorts of mischief together! Awesome dogs, and Dylan is so clever he'll cut himself! Mollie
  16. I had nightmares about this when I had my old dog pts. I dreamt she wasn't dead and dug herself out of her grave. Horrific dreams. So upsetting that it might have happened for real. :p
  17. Jed, Thank you for sharing your story. Although it terrifies me, it's important to plan for emergencies. Our fire alarm is slightly temperamental and goes off sometimes when the shower goes. That's fine because I use it as a fire drill. If the fire alarm goes off, the dogs go outside straight away and get praised and treated. Of course it doesn't help with the CO2 issue, but at least it's something. My sincere and deepest condolences for the beloved dogs you lost and my best wishes for your ongoing recovery. Phoenix is exquisite. Mollie xox
  18. Anouk gets up when I get up. Ziggy doesn't get up, unless forced to...
  19. They are very cute Monah, but can they compete with the wheaten? Wheaten puppies ARE the cutest puppies in the world
  20. I've also always wanted an Afghan since I read What A Mess...
  21. Me too But being allergic kind of limits me! I always want wheatens, but I'd also love a Lagotto. If I'd discovered them before wheatens, I definately would've been tempted. I also adore Norwegian Elkhounds, but think they'd make me sneeze and my eyes water
  22. That's almost deceptive and misleading conduct contrary to the Trade Practices Act/ state sale of goods act...
