Actually, compared to Sydney Royal.. the toiletting area is fantastic... yes it is concrete but it is always clean and disenfected. The grassed area at Sydney is gross after a day or two. I wont be going this year  no funds at time of entries closing !

Today at Isis Show (Maryborough) my little girl Sirena won BABY IN SHOW !!! This is my first baby in show for a home bred baby! It has been a illusive goal since I started showing. I have been able to pick up every other class in show except baby, and Sirena has been able to achieve this goal for me in her last show in this class. Hopefully there is more to come for this lovely little puppy. In the past month she has picked up 3 baby in groups and now baby in show.

Is anyone doing Maryborough show this weekend? I heard that Mr G Love is unable to make it up, so wondering if anyone knows who is replacing him?

definately put that shot in !! While I think it is great to have stacked shots to show off the dogs confirmation.. I think shots like this are really great to add in too! Especially on young dogs.

Thats right ;)

It is such a nice natural shot... Ive had many of these potentially wonderful pics.. but like yours, something usually isnt quite right.. The amount that I have had turn out blurry is frustrating LOL Keep trying, you will get a cracker sooner or later.

Congratulations !! He is looking Awesome !

Im with you on this Mirawee, International judges are the biggest waste of time and money on our breeds... our club is trying to stop having International judges, but because we share, we have been told we will have to find out own sponsorship if we dont use their judges...

Hi Keshwar, I am going to put my normal signature on the bottom of this reply. After seeing it do you really think dog showing would reduce me to tears. I more than likely may not even go to a show if a National was on for my two breeds, I might not even like the judge that is judging on the day. I could possibly show my other breed and have a lovely day. But it's not about me, it's about all the others that will miss out on points just because of the 1000 km rule and the fact they can't attend their National for various reasons. Why punish them with no points. Jill Marks Oakway Whippets [email protected] The Home Of Champions BIS BISS + INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONS. The judge is also important too... if the National judge was someone I thought didnt have a clue, but there was a cracker of a judge at home.. why would I go to the National ??? I understand that people are saying I dont have to show the weekend of the National.. but why should I be penalised for wanting to? And I will tell you now... if there was a Kelpie National... and it was held interstate, myself and the majority of my competitors would not go anyway... so all of us would be sitting around not showing that weekend?? or as others have said we could show for the fun of it... ??

It's a method of encouraging people to attend nationals while also a way to discourage the gaining of undeserved points while the competition is away. The "bad" dogs shouldn't be awarded because they avoided the show with the "good" dogs that weekend (whether by choice or circumstance). If you can't get points anywhere except the national then maybe more people will start going. Otherwise they won't and they'll have a lovely weekend of non-dog activities. I can't see the big deal for either exhibitors having a weekend off or for clubs losing some entries occasionally. You would feel "discriminated against" because you couldn't get points for your breed one weekend a year at most? Hey, my dogs are top winning dogs ! Just because I dont go to a national does that mean its because I have 'bad' dogs?? Not all the good dogs go to Nationals... It is not about easy points, I can easily get the points with the competition !

My boy Shamus gained his PT title on the weekend ! Lots of training to do before the next level of herding. We are now ready for trialing in agility and jumpers.. so trials coming up in July !!!

Im with Oakway on this one...I think it is bad enough having a 1000km ban now (i would vote 500km) Australia is far too big. Why should someone be 'punished' in Cairns or Darwin, just because they might hold a National in Melbourne or Perth !! It is ridiculous. These days it is hard enough to get to local shows. Ive been tempted a few times to head to Melbourne for a kelpie specialty, but unless I drove down there (taking at least a week of my holidays!), the logistics of trying to fly is just too hard. Sydney and Brisbane are less than 1000km away.. so if a National is held in one city, the other doesnt have CC's?? stupid. I have to add, we do not have a Kelpie National, and if we did, I think we would be lucky to get 100 entries.. in Brisbane at our annual Cattle Dog & Kelpie specialty we are lucky to get 20 kelpie entries and we have international judges !
