No, I can't imagine it would be One of my golden retrievers was by a frozen semen AI - he has 13 brothers and sisters!!! I have also heard of another golden litter, again frozen semen, 16 puppies!!!!! Normal size is around 10 in the breed.

Wow, if she had 12 last time and she's bigger now.... yikes....
-
How many babies did she have last time Parkeyre? Willow has also put on 7 kilos but to me she doesn't seem overly big, I don't have anything to compare her to though as it's our first litter. She is quite wide in the ribs so she may be carrying them high.

Morning sickness. Lol - yes, I realise it was morning sickness, but she has also been very picky.... I mean't how many do you think she will have. She has completely refused dry food from about week 2. I put her on vets all natural which she was fine with for 3 weeks, but started refusing that as well, the last few weeks have been a battle to get her to eat enough.

So what does everyone think? She has put on 7 kilos in the last 4 weeks... she did lose a kilo in the first 4 weeks though.

Congrats ADJ - sorry about the two that didn't make it.

Big Congrats Bord3aux - Fabulous news. Glad to hear her milk has come in too. Good luck with the x-ray Parkeyre. How exciting, looking forward to seeing the images (hopefully). Not sure how many Willow will have. She's big but not overly big, 5 were seen on the ultrasound at 4 weeks, so I don't think she'll have too many more than that. Anyone heard from AdoubleJ?

Good luck ADoubleJ - Shes huge!!!!!!!

Not long now for you AdoubleJ. Any pics? Willow is round, but not huge. Still has 2.5 weeks to go though.

Willow is looking quite pregnant, and getting larger by the day. She's starting to give me a mummmmm what did you do to me look.

Yes, I think someone has Weinot, I remember seeing it or something very close to it.

I don't usually feed anything else other than Advance. Every dog is different and every cup measurement is different. I go by look/feel alone, if they start looking podgy I drop their food back a bit, too thin, and I up it. Mine usually need more during winter as well. I wouldn't be feeding the lamb flaps, a couple of chicken necks should be ok. Approx how much does he weigh? A male golden should put on a maximum of 1kg per week up to the age of about 20 weeks, and then I think its about 3/4 kilo per week for the next 6 weeks, and then it drops down to half a kilo. I expect a lab would be similar. As others have said, don't panic yet, it could just be an injury, but do be mindful of excessive weight gain.

If it is OCD/ED the first option would be to put him on a course of Caprofen injections, this helps supply blood to the cartilage(?) that is breaking off and it CAN repair itself. Very strict rest is also needed, and I believe a course of anti-inflams as well. After that surgery is probably the best option. X-rays would probably be required atleast prior to he surgery. It could also be panosteosis which usually resolves itself in time. Does he stand with his feet straight or does he stand with his feet outward? Does he put an even amount of weight on both feet? I have goldens and I take mine off puppy food at about 3 months. I feed Advance usually.

Thx Haredown whippets :)

I'm not entered, but was there a breed breakdown? Interested to know how many goldens are entered.

Thanks Lilli - exciting but nerve cracking at the same time.

Sorry to hear that Lilli We had an ultrasound this morning and are confirmed pregnant. She's been very picky with her food, and has actually lost about a kilo, so we are going to have to be a bit more creative with her... hopefully she'll start eating normally again soon.

Woohoo congrats AdoubleJ

I am tentatively jumping into this thread - maiden bitch and breeder here I have mated my longhair weimaraner with a longhair carrier, so both long and short-haired babies expected, around the 9th Sept.

Border Collie Breeders Recommendations?
GoldenWei replied to bossyboo's topic in General Dog Discussion
I second Nahrof. I don't know many border collie breeders, but I do know the breeders of Nahrof BC's - if I was going to ever get a BC, this is where I would go. -
What Age Do Medium Sized Dogs Become Fully Grown?
GoldenWei replied to GoldenGirl85's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Think GG means that they just got him in and de-sexed straight away, so they wouldn't of had him long. I asked how long they had him because if the photo was a month or two old then it wouldn't help with trying to work out his age. -

I tend to agree Riddick, my guess was about 6 or 7 months. But if they are all infact baby teeth, he'd only be around 3 maybe 4 months.
