I used a ladder about 6 ft long, and back then i was 16 and my instructor told me to do this so its how i did it, but we had the ladder set up and had the dogs climb it and go down, all very slowly of course, but it did wonders for my GSD when he needed it in obedience and agility and also tracking, he was very aware of his feet, and would never miss step. I highly recommend the ladder, whether on the ground or not.

I call them dog lollies, and if you dont have a covered litter tray you can make a cover out of a cardboard box with a hole for a door, also keeps the smell in.

ooooooo me to cept a 16 to 18 although i can sew i can adjust if needed, and my foxies are tan and white, and i prefer pants dont do skirts so if anyoen has any hinters that would be great.

Also when this dog barks he gets rewarded with human contact, so he will continue this behaviour. If he barks he gets yelled at or chained or muzzled or whatever it is that you to try make him stop, so the behaviour will never go away. I too agree he needs more stimulation, mentally and physically, a g shep of which i used to own, needs a minimum of 5k's walking a day and when trainers say 5 to 10 mins training that is not once a day, that is at a time, he may need 10, 5 min training sessions a day.

This sounds like a good options, and if you are going to go this way, goto bunnings and get a compost crate or two for $20 each and if you buy two you can link them together and have a roof too, i did this when i had to go to a bike race meeting, i had 2 pups in it with a crate at one end and they where fine and safe in there.

I have done a search on the net for great barko dog food and cant find a link to the manufacturer, does anyone know if they have a website to find out distributers?

I have a dog with epilepsy, it usually comes on around the age of 5 yrs, and they have a distinct character change before the siezure, this is what the vet told me anyway. My boy is on medication, and has a siezure once a month but only very mild now, he just looses his balance for about 2 mins then he is completely normal. He doesnt have a character change now b4 the siezures either, only b4 the first one and it lasted 3 weeks, we thought he had something wrong as he was very anti social, but after the siezure, like within 5 mins he was his happy old self. When humans have a siezure they are generally very tired afterwards, i am lucky enough to have a human with it too. My dogs first siezure made him very tired, but from then on he wasnt so bad, and the next siezures werent as bad either. My boys siezures are bought on by excitement/stress, and exercise, they will usually have a siezure in the evening too, dont know why, but this is how it generally happens, my boy usually has his at dinner time, around 8pm. He will have a siezure eat his dinner as long as i hold him up and continue to have the siezure, he just thinks he has a balance problem for a few minutes, the poor boy only has 3 legs so its hard for him. His siezures are minor now due to the medication, dogs medication unlike humans does not completely stop the siezures, they just reduce the occurance and severity of the siezure. Dont know if this is much help but maybe.

I have used all methods of training mentioned in this thread and i too agree that the prong collars arent as affective as positive training. This comes from 21 yrs of dog training in all fields.

Why try to "educate" an animal which knows better than we all do! As I said before - dogs will not use the place they sleep to defaecate. It's as simple as that! When will humans learn that our canine friends know better than us? :D We have to learn to fit into their lifestyle just as much as they do ours! Sorry but some dogs will defaecate where they sleep, and by choice, i had a dog that would pooh on ner bed in an open backyard and then lie down next to it, so dont rely on this old saying, this is not the only dog that does this either it can be quite common.

i would chose A based on protien level, my breed needs at best lower than 20% protien to prevent kidney stones, and the number 1 ingredient is meat.
