  1. Thank you all for your reply. I know in my heart it was the right thing to do but not an easy thing to do. She was ok when I left to go to work so it came as a shock. I have been thinking was there something that I missed or something that I could have done to prevent it from getting to that point. I have been told by the vet if she was eating alright, moving ok and going to the toilet ok then there was no warning signs.
  2. Tonight I got a call at work that Jessie was bleeding from the rear end so I came home early. When I saw her it was not good. We took her to the vets and they did an ultrasound on her and found tumours in her bladder as that is where the bleeding was coming from. It was decided due to her age 13 (of her not surviving the surgery and the tumour to put her down. She is my very first dog that we got a couple. It does not get any easier as we have had to put down two other dogs four years ago. I truely hope that we made the right decision.
  3. It happens when my friend goes inside especially at night. He is an outside dog.
  4. Yes dogmad it is the Pomxsheltie from HP. He is dominant and he has had no training at all. He is not as quite as bad before as I have taught him to sit. He has learnt that quickly as he is very food orientated and people too. So I think that there is some hope.
  5. I am wondering if any of you have had success with getting a dog about 1 year old to stop howling. An ideas would be appreciated.
  6. I am in Sydney west and I would like to know of any good experiences people have had with Behaviouralists. This why I have posted this question as I would like to get it right. They have managed to be together without growling. Although the smaller dog will grab the greyhound by the muzzle(around the mouth the actual muzzle is not on). I am finding that he is very food orientated as well as people and this is working well. We are keeping them separated when we are not out there to keep an eye out.
  7. I am going to post what I have said in the general section as others there have suggested that I post here for advise with training and any other idea would be much appreciated. I am wondering if any of you have had success with dog to dog aggression. If so what did you do? I have gotten two males both are desexed and one of them tries to dominate the other. Then the fighting starts. They were ok with the initial meeting at the pound but now there is teeth baring, fighting, snapping etc when they are together.
