Flea Alergies On A Bitch With Litter
dunnwarren replied to kirst_goldens's topic in Breeders Community
Try Rawleighs Salve, it works fine and should be ok with pups -
Seems a bit cheeky on the owners behalf. Not sure what I would do in this case but certainly not give the whole purchase price back!

I found one of those small round exercise trampolines at a garage sale years ago, my border collie slept on it without managing to ruin it. All i had to do was hose it down every so often.

My Puppy's Heart Is Failing... What Should I Do?
dunnwarren replied to Eco's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I agree with the others, give him his wings now. I had a pup with heart problems once and it was hard to watch her struggle just to play with her toys, she passed over in my arms and that was hard to watch, worse then having her PTS. Perhaps the breeder would let you have one out of her next litter in a few months time, that would give you time to come to terms with your loss. -
Please sent the email to me as well. I have a pom here who wets inside. [email protected] Many thanks!

I don't let people come near my pups before 6 weeks. Sometimes they ask to come and pick their puppy but I discourage them by telling them they all look the same until 6 weeks of age.

Thinking of having Secret xrayed later after having probs with her last litter. She has been on raspberry leaf tablets this time as she just stopped pushing last litter and had to have a csection. Do they really work or am I just pushing pills down her throat for no reason lol. Love the pics of puppies sleeping on blankets etc. how come my bitches just keep digging when I try to put them on blankets after puppies are born? I have all my pups and bitches on carpet now so she cant cover pups with the blankets.

Just Came Back From The Vet And Terribly Sad
dunnwarren replied to Moselle's topic in General Dog Discussion
So sorry to hear of your loss. I know how hard it is after having my girl PTS last July, but at least you were with her in the end and she knew she was loved. :D -
Secret is due to have pups either late November or early December. A litter of little Aust Silkys, hoping for something really nice so I can get back into showing.

I have a singleton pup at the moment. I put him in the kitchen area with mum when he was about 3 weeks old so he got used to lots of noise (vacuum etc) I have a sheltie and a pom inside as well and he is allowed to get out and play with them sometimes. He is 6 weeks old now but I still have him with mum so she can play with him and hopefully teach him some manners lol.

Return To Competition Of Bitches After Whelping
dunnwarren replied to a topic in General Dog Discussion
Just more rules and regulations to cope with, getting to the point where we will need a secretary to just keep up with what we can and can't do. -
Australian Silky Terrier Club, open and champ show on Sunday at Bulla. As treasurer guess I will be there lol even though I only have one bitch to show.
-
I know how you feel, I had suicidal chooks once. They kept flying into a certain dog run, I would go up at night to feed the dogs and only feathers left. The dog ate well though lol.

Sorry to hear about the little guy, but better luck next time. As they say "breeding is never easy" but it does have it's good times.
-
looks like I will see you there Danois - the .22 was my choice too. I'm joining you two as well, still have my old .22 plus my newer one. One day I will sit up all night and shoot that mongrel fox.

Kamikazi ferrets :D My ex was a slaughterman, only thing he couldn't kill were young goats, he hated killing them. Most women during the depression killed animals so the family didn't starve, I can't understand the difference between women or men killing for food. We kill steers here now and then for the freezer and they are the ones we bucket reared. That's life! I know of someone who wont eat lamb unless it has a stamp on it, or eat our free range chook eggs because of no stamp lol.

So nice to see a good news story! What a wonderful result, a great job well done to Conan and his new owner. -
Makes one wonder what sort of "brain" thinks up these things.
