I think this little girl is going to take after her mother
-
I like the Chamois ones.
-
And whilst you are at it gets them to fix the pot holes in Wedge Rd !
-
I think at the least there should be over head lights. What I can see them doing it making it a 'No Right Hand Turn' when leaving wedge road - This will force you to go the 1km down to the roundabout at Thompsons Rd and turn around - which is not such a bad idea when you consider your dogs safety and your own.

Box is just melemine from bunnings. 1.6 x 1.8 and on the side it has storage space for paper/blankets etc. Large enough to get in a sleep with mum and the puppies, and large enough to help whelp.

Shimmer does like to be different lol She is an excellent mother, not what I expected because of her bitchy nature and all the dramas she has has getting to this stage. She was a day late (prog tests) and saved herself from a cesear by an hour, she does like to make me sweat on it.

Your mum sounds like a PITA, I would refund her all her money and wipe my hands of her, no way in he'll would she get one of my puppies.

Best Way To Bandage/treat 'happy Tail'
SwaY replied to melzawelza's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Great Link that Dane people use - http://www.greatdanelady.com/articles/mending_a_tail.htm -
It would depend on the breed.. For some it would be aesthetically pleasing, others because the standard says "tail errect". A dog doesn't always wag it's tail, nor hold it out or up for many reasons when "stacked".

"Winter nose" ? Google it and see if it matches, happpens in labs etc
-
As to when is most common, no idea as each bitch and each litter would be different.
-
Off the top of my head I think they can up to day 45, after that they have to abort them to end the pregnancy or delivery as per normal.
-
Ultrasounds counts can be wrong, and bitches can absorb pups etc - Why not wait and xray at 8 week, that way you know for sure how many there will be? I know a bitch who had a singleton - delivered it naturally the day before her scheduled c-section.

Where To Buy Wombaroo In Melbourne Eastern Suburbs
SwaY replied to Dogs Are Forever's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I have it in stock but I am in Cranbourne http://whelpingsupplies.com.au/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=66 -
Oh and you get to watch the semen swim around on the big screen whilst he gets a count etc.
-
Bitch stands, bit like a stack I guess. Vet (I had Stewart do Shimmer's) he inserts a long rod (3-4mm at a guess), and you watch it all happen on the monitor as he explains what he is doing. He then inserts what looks like a thinner rod connected to a syringe with the semen in it. All up takes maybe 30min from collecting to insemination.

I had a litter of puppies born today, mating was done via TCI at Monash with fresh semen. Shimmer has a "special needs uterus" so we are thrilled !!
-
I don't know how the bitches stomach it, that stuff reeks!

I show my bitches in season, I also warn others they are in season, I also show dogs that have been used at stud. Not to mention I have people use my bitches in season to spark up there dogs - fine by me. What I don't like is those who whinge about bitches in season upsetting there dog, next minute you see them using a bitch in season to get a good photo
