What Breeds / X-breeds Show Up In Shelters?
SwaY replied to sandgrubber's topic in General Dog Discussion
I would like to see Micro-chips have permanent details of the breeder on them - Registered breeders, so they could be contacted should the owner not be found and for the stats. -
Puppies, A Social Experience Apparently
SwaY replied to lovemesideways's topic in General Dog Discussion
Whilst I don't want anyone to be bitten, some people are just asking for it. The poor dogs will be blamed, the owners will feel guilty and the idiot who got bitten won't learn a damn thing! -
I'm not impressed, they posted my first order to my old PO BOX even thou the invoice, online status and paypal has my new address and now they have done it again! I just received an email saying your items were posted on the 12/12/2011 and it has my old address on it!! Hopefully the Post Office lady picks up on it and puts it aside for me like she did the first one.

I was talking about this earlier with Rebanne, those little parts could be eaten with ease, compared to a plastic buckle - both can be eaten, but the little press studs would be gone in a second.

On the subject of OF vs OV. I just got my papers back and OF was approved (Friday in VIC)
-
As it's your first litter the chances are they first pick will go through without a problem, its' one people name them a name they have already used or name it to close to one they have previously used. What I do is put my first choice down, then for the 2nd pick assign the first choice to a different dogs.

I have a friend who breeds Frenchie's, she has never had problems along these lines.

tracheal or palate issues?

You submit two names per puppy, first and second choice. I just got my papers back... It's been a 'Crazy' 12 months, not to mention Shimmer drives me crazy, so a Crazy theme seemed very fitting. Well it would seem things have NOT changed. Friday I went to pick up some registration papers - again just said papers for XXX, and was not asked to provide ID (papers were mine) I then opened the envelope and said I wanted to change the registration on one of the puppies, they just told me to fill in the back and sign it. I could have been picking up and signing any ones papers, I could have then sold the rest off or used them on another litter of puppies. -

Make sure they are not tight like a neck brace, and that your dog has a neck to attach a collar to - not all breeds have a decent neck length as babies. As Rebanne suggested, you can cut them in half length ways to make them narrower - like the identa-kits.

Why do people not tell me these things!!

What breed are we talking about? Feeding tubes come in a few sizes, 5french is the smallest 10french is the largest.
-
I have also tried reverse feeding (no milk), Hanging the puppy upside down for a little bit then, putting the feeding tube down and withdrawing on the syringe hoping to catch some floating mucus or milk.
-
Last years litter had a few pups that had problems and I used a nasal aspirator, this litter I used a Delee Suction Catheter as the tube allows me to get right down the back.
-
Aspirated pneumonia and Chest infection are two different things I have been told. I would assume it would make a difference being a Bracci Breed, higher risk I would imagine. Have they tried tube feeding to avoid this, or suctioning after feeding? If I get a rattly pup I suction after feeding and takes the tick tock (sorry can't describe it any other way) sound away.
