  1. Yeah, I know, its a shame because wrestling the big boxes is quite an event  and storage is a bugger too. fifi I buy a new one for each litter as I only use four pieces of melamine and it costs $90 from Bunnings already pre cut. I bin it after I have finished with it.
  2. The problem with a fibreglass whelping box in parts is that it weakens the unit, plus any joins etc leave areas for bacteria etc.
  3. Must have been a big hole, most holes are only 20c piece size if not smaller.
  4. Her details are in the Adelaide Royal thread.
  5. I have noticed they don't make small ones, what size would a chi have?
  6. How high would you like the walls? Another thought is a door that slots in, in two sections on top of each other. So you would slot one door in but mum can still get out easy, then you could slot the next door in on top to make the door the height of the walls.
  7. Unfortunately you can not pull apart a fibreglass one, or make them in parts as they become weak.
  8. I have the opportunity to design a FIBREGLASS Whelping Box and I am interested in what people would like in a FIBREGLASS whelping box, now is your chance to give me ideas.... What would you like in a FIBREGLASS Whelping Box Size Height Finish Colour Texture bottom, smooth sides Pig rails - different heights Heated Drop in door or hinged door Price range What else would you like to add or change??
  9. The ones the OP is talking about were made by Troy/DOL and you should not make them on your own. Ask Troy if he is still selling them.

  11. Criss Cross some fishing line with cans etc attached across the path they use, you will here them when they walk into the fishing line.
  12. I don't want to come across as heartless, but why are you waiting??
  13. Separation for a week or so is better then an unplanned litter and Alizin injections to abort the litter.
  14. Thank you Swayd, you will make a young lady ( not me!!lolol) very happy if Xolos can get there! Hopefully the Xolo's can make it, don't forget to get in contact with Jo and work on some info to help promote the breed.
  15. I would have prog tested her earlier then day 9. I start the first day and go from there, you need a base line so you can see it increasing and know she had ovulated and when. TCI or AI? TCI semen is inserted past/through the cervix, AI semen is just sitting in there, if the cervix is already closed chances of getting puppies are very very slim. Each bitch is different, as is each season.
  16. Maybe try and contact some of the creche's in the area to see if they would consider working on weekends? I know some used to work weekends, not sure if they still do. There are many within 5min of KC Park.
