  1. I just emailed you as I am looking for a quote.
  2. I think the reason many (including myself) said no to help was because of - The questions I need to anser are: Not can you help me, or do you have any idea where to look, I am a little stuck etc. We are not doing the course, the OP is. It's the OP's job to find the answers and not expect others to give them to her. Others in the thread managed to find the answers within a few min of googling etc, It's like the OP was looking for a "quick fix".
  3. It is your job to find out the answers. You are the one studying, or do we get a mark at the end of it?

  7. And this is another reason why I think the micro-chip database should have a space for the Registered Breeders Prefix/Name and contact details. 1) You will know it's a registered purebred pedigree dog 2) Call the breeder if you can't contact the owner 3) Let the breeder know it's been found to collect it if the owner can not be found yep I love this idea It does have space for the breeders details. CAR breeder forms ask for the "kennel name" and their contact details too. The standard form Vets use does not. There needs to be one form Australia Wide (and one database if you ask me). CAR lists a few forms on the website, one that does have a space for breeders details, sadly this is not the one vets use.
  8. And if you don't know what it is, put down what it most resembles - other people have to be able to guess the breed should the dog turn up in the pound etc.
  9. I attended a lecture on Dog DNA testing a few years ago, often the dog you see before you is not what the dogs DNA says it is. As an example it may look like a Pug, but it's DNA says it is a Cav x Pom.

  14. The registration form does say Special Registrations Purebreed Dogs – must be a registered member with the Tasmanian Canine Association $40 fee (Normal fee is $80) ETA Basically I think they are saying you get a discount because you are a member of the TCA - same happens in all States, I think the wording is a little off.

  17. Oohh, thanks for the heads-up. That's a great price! I'll be getting one for my boy. Just moved from a warm snuggly apartment to a big old wooden floored house, so just grabbed one of these for my pup. Great price, thanks for the link! Ah, typical. I ordered one yesterday and now they are further on sale with the "Winter Warmer" sale code W2012 if anyone was wavering on buying one (makes them $31.97) Oh really, that's CHEAP! Might get another! Cheapest i can get it down to is $44.75 - It doesn't come up as $31.97 for me??

  20. In Vic you need to be a vet or a vet nurse (having completed the course) - perhaps they were people from Interstate, Or DNA testers checking chip details?
  21. Thank you, I am very luck to have such a spunky dog :D
  22. They seem to vary a fair bit in temperament - no sure if it is bloodline related or environmental. There doesn't seem to be any in Aust doing Agility, however I have seen a few pictures of some O/S doing agility,
