A plastic milk bottle with the lid and ring removed. They seem to love the noise and they don't cost anything. Just becareful with anything dangling that they don't get caught and strangle themselfs.

How about you give her HALF a whole egg. Perhaps a full egg was to much for her little belly. Crack an egg mix it up and only give her HALF.
-
Sway eats them whole. Your pup is still young, it could have been to much for her in one go.
-
maybe she heard something outside or under the house. And the running around in the heat is what killed her?
-
Maybe she got something in the room, and had to get out hence the barking to attract you. perhaps the running around was trying to get rid of the problem? (like when you hurt yourself you tend to shake that part of the body) Im sorry for your loss. eta for spelling

We take treats.

What does your breeder say? At 5 months house play and training should be enough for them. ( That includes any puppy schools or obedience you do) Sway is 6 months on Thursday she still doesn't get walks. She has training, house play, obedience and shows. No need to rush her bones or over do it. "Try" to limit jumping, sliding, running/walking on hard ground (tends to jolt bones around) * Walk on the grass not the road or footpath. By no way am i an expert, just going off what i have been told and read. We need pictures!!! :D

We just got back from Tony. His card says ring between 10-2pm

Puppies are like babies Eat, sleep and shit 18+ hours a day. They also don't know it's 1am , or 4am. :D Sway is nearly 6 months old and she has 4-6 afternoon naps

Most times a young pup nees time to adjust. New smells, noises, environment etc. I wouldn't rush it.

Thank you, i think she is a spunk.

This is Sway after she decided to jump up and over the couch! She has been told not to many a time, now she is sulking.

Sway went throught a stage off eating rocks, There like babies, love to stick anything in there mouths. Can you cover sections of the rocks with shadecloth?
-
AWWWW now see your fibbing, Angus would never do anything wrong. How could a face like that make a mess

Arhh yes Sway does do some weird and wonderful stuff. lets see, eating my $400 pair of sunglasses. Trying to eat the window tint in the car. Thiking she can jump on a bunk bed. Taking dirty clothes and placing them around the back lawn just as you have guests coming over. Have a drink of water, and walking off with drool still dripping from her mouth. Only to have you slip in it. Shaving her nails off on the one way mesh security door. Drooling out the car window down the side of your car, only to have it blow back the other way and in throught the front window. Munched on the new couch. The list is endless!! And this mornings special gift throwing up on the bed, whilst hubby was still asleep in it :D :D She had bought up some chicken neck bones Would i trade it for the world, no way! Would i get another Dane you betcha!! Im counting down the days

well i could, but then i run the risk of her draggin me over or someone bowling into her and hurting her delicate long dainty legs something to work on.

To slow the eating down. Place LARGE polished stones/rocks into there bowl. They will then have to eat around the rocks/stones. Make sure there large enough so they don't eat them, and you supervise them at all times when you do it. Polished stones work well, easy to keep clean. We used to wash ours in the dishwasher. Worked for one of our dogs many years ago.
