  1. I Must have dreamt all the other threads where bitches in seasons get in fights. Is she a narky bitch any other time, no. Is she a narky bitch every season, no. Is she a narky bitch to the only other entire bitch in our house who cycles two weeks after her who happens to be her daughter, yes. Is that a reason not to breed her, no according to those I have consulted. I may not have been breeding for 20+ years but those I converse with have.
  2. You know well enough that bitches in season are in fact right bitches. You also know that bitches can start fights for what ever reason as can dogs. Does she do it any other time other then when mated no, do I see it as a problem no, do others no.

  4. Fingers crossed for puppies! I have a bitch who as soon as she is mated, wants to kill her daughter. - Im talking the same day! They are never alone together now as her mother tried to kill her in a fight. Any other season, she likes her. 2nd mating/litter same thing, wants to kill her again. Then it's back to being friendly once the litter has been born. I put it down to the alpha bitch being the only one allowed to have puppies.
  5. Whatever your prefix you need to love it, not just like it.
  6. I'm not keen on prefixes with breed names in them. Many people change breeds down the track and I think sometimes it looks silly.

  9. There is a place in the UK who does them as well. Draminski ovulation detector claims to be able to do the same thing, many I know who had bought one have sold them as they got poor results. Operator error would also play a part. A good stud dog is all you need!

  13. Your most welcome! You could just go to a show and hope to see some Griffon's, or look up some breeders and arrange to meet them.
  14. They are a coat that is hand stripped, I used to work on Archer's coat every day. I have heard of some pet people clipping the coat every few months. I guess you could take them to a professional, not sure many would know how to do it? They also come in a smooth coat. ETA LInk to grooming and how it's done http://griffonclub.com/grooming.asp
  15. Archer was not a barker, others I have seen are.
  16. Such a cute and friendly breed. Eager to please, love being with people and full of spunk. Grooming is not for everyone!
  17. You should have asked me! He went back to his breeder, who desexed him and pet homed him.
