  3. For interest what did they end up charging? I have no idea what Micheal charges for a Liver Shunt test. But he charges $44 for C3 + Mirco chipping at Devon Meadows on a Tuesday afternoon approx 2-8pm (i'm not sure if he gives a discount for a litter, the above was for just 1 pup)
  4. Oh wow so tiny! There are two sizes, the small size is what I start them on, the larger ones are to chunky for babies I feel. Pictures taken on the same day. Small size Then upgraded to the Larger size
  5. I use those ones on the Danes, I then send the puppies to there new home with there puppy collars. The pictures are of Dane puppies who are around 700 grams, The small ones fit the Danes up to around 2kg/2 weeks, then we move up to the next size. How much does a newborn mini schnauzer weigh?
  6. This is what I was referring to before. So you could be doing the right thing, have the best ethics, breeding practices etc. But if you have enemies, they're not going to steer people your way if people ask them are you? As I said earlier, Yes the buyer should invest some time and investigate and find out if it is in fact true or just bad blood.
  7. Wella Kolestral has been discontinued. I have Chalkmate and Chalk Helper by Cherry Knoll on order, They should be here in 10-14 days. NEW PRODUCTS due in soon Just as well I also own domain name, showsupplies.com.au I think im going to need it soon! God woman how many Domain names do you own. :p :cheer: :cheer: Umm I think 17, I will have to ask Shane for an update, he supplies my little addiction.
  8. My latest product Annie99 6 weeks old Here is an earlier model of the same product, it's about to turn 7.
  9. Way to take what sway said out of context. I did call her almost nutty, now I know Annie99 IS nutty. Ha ha ha. I don't care what any of you say. I get supportive PM's from lots of people who would prefer not to engage with people who sling mud and insults. Remember this "A man with no enemies is a man with no character." ... "A wise man gets more use from his enemies than a fool from his friends." AHHAHA I have plenty of enemies because I speak my mind, and stand by it!
  10. Way to take what sway said out of context. I did call her almost nutty, now I know Annie99 IS nutty.
  11. Your original threads on this did say - Change breed standards. It's no good just your members being made to test, everyone needs to test. It needs to be an open registry so everyone can benefit, not just members. You referred to it as elite in the begining, many are already doing what you say you want to introduce. Those who are already doing it would have to pay for a shiny logo and nothing else.
  12. Annie99, if you knew anything about me you would know my dogs are my world. I am talking about advertising, in advertising things are referred to as 'products'
  13. You inform them why they have to wait, what the benefits are of waiting, in the meantime they can research more, get to know a breederm build a relationship, join the club etc. ''All good things come to those who wait, may those who are impatient get bitten on the ass!'' Yes im joking about people getting bitten, but people need to realise puppies do not sit on shelves and some things are worth waiting for.
  14. As I said before Advertise where people buy puppies from. List your puppies, promote your puppies - Sell the better product! Oodles have done so well because they advertise everywhere - where people buy puppies! If every breed club advertised on Petlink/Tradingpost about the benefits of buying from a registered breeder, it would turn around. They need to be consistent - Push the better product!
  15. Just bumping this up. Don't forget to look out for Poll #1
  16. Just then a puppy buyer enquiry asking about my puppies for sale. They are not listed on DOL as being for sale, they are only on my website. Yet they missed the huge writing saying they are all spoken for. People don't look nor care, they just want a bloody puppy!
  17. Did I not already say we need a awareness campaign???
  18. At some point there has to be buyer beware. It's called self eduction, some just don't care and just want a puppy and want it now! When buying a new car did you just go hey I want that one, or did you put some effort and research into it? As I have said before, and as I have on my website - Ask many questions and do your research.
  19. Yes I was the same. What's a breed club??? Then when you ring them them they just flog their own puppies from a recent litter anyway. But in this day and age, people who want a particular breed just google, dont they? Then if they're smart, they start making phone calls. Many clubs these days have disclaimers on them, and they do not recommend a particular breeder. PUPPY LISTINGS Disclaimer: This Breeders' listing is not to be taken as a recommendation of any Kennel/Breeder. It is not a complete listing of all GDCV members who have registered kennels; but is purely a listing of those GDCV members who have paid to have their Kennel listed in the Breeders' Directory
  20. Did you not read what I wrote? Show them you exist, then educate - It's all about marketing. Many don't know the ANKC/ breed clubs exist your right, that's why I said you advertise where people by puppies, you promote the better product, you out do your competitor in this case the unregistered/BYB's. You mention things like health testing, breeder support, Things to look out for, what questions to ask etc. Reg pure bred offers you this - X X X X Unre gets you this - X It's all about marketing, and target your audience. Maybe I see it from a different angle as that is my business - to sell??
  21. Research and more research, sad part is many just want a puppy and want it now!! But how do people research? Where can they go to know they're getting completely non bias information? So many breeders talk the talk and possibly even health test, but then you can find out from other people they are totally clueless and dodgy. I could ask certain people in our breed, who have been in the show scene for a while and get pointed in the direction of breeders who I class as being terrible. Then there's breeder conflict, so again you could ask a breeder about other breeders, but you're only going to get their opinion, which if they don't like them, could be quite negative. I think another issue is actually educating the public that there IS stuff to research. I think for the majority of prospective dog owners, when they want a puppy they just find a breeder. I don't think a lot of people out there realise there are amazing breeders and not so amazing breeders. So how do we educate the public that they need to research? How do we get to them at that crucial point where they decide they want a puppy? As I said earlier you ask 5-10 people if they all tell a similar story there is some truth to it and requires further investigation. Firstly the profile of the Pure bred dogs needs to be addressed - The public need to be made aware we exist. ANKC/Breed clubs need to advertise where puppies are being sold - Petlink/Trading Post etc If you raise the profile you can then educate them, you can't educate those who can't find you.
  22. Research and more research, sad part is many just want a puppy and want it now!! Yep. totally agree. There needs an awareness campaign about registered breeders, what to ask, how to find a breeder, what to look for etc. I think that's what the MDBA should be doing, instead fighting for Purebred Dogs and there Owners - I thought this is why they started up? (I also think the ANKC should be doing the same bloody thing!!!!)
  23. Research and more research, sad part is many just want a puppy and want it now!!
