  6. You have made a decision and that's a start. Good luck to you and Polly
  7. Oh you poor thing - and Polly too. Not to mention your new baby - lots of to all of you. I don't really know what to say to help. What is very indicative from your post is that you don't mention your new puppy by name and I think both you and Polly are still grieving so much that you're both finding it very hard to accept a newcomer - as much as you want to. It's early days yet though. Maybe you could crate the puppy at night so he's separate from Polly? and then give Polly all your attention. During the day try not to fuss too much over the newcomer when Polly is around. Maybe there is a dog club in the area where you can take the puppy for some special bonding/time out? You seem to have an awful lot on your plate at the moment and you need to take care. I can feel your pain and I'm so sorry you are suffering so much. ed - missed a word out...
  8. Oh how sad for you. I know how you feel. I did the same with my cat whom I'd had for 18 years - she was deaf and I didn't see her and she didn't hear the car. It's a terrible feeling but it was an accident and these things happen sometimes. Take care of yourself. RIP Mary
  9. Oh how teribly sad, poor poor Bodie run free sweetie and say hello to Stryker
  10. Stryker went to the bridge today. He would have been 11 yrs on Anzac Day. He was so much loved and will be so sadly missed. There is a special place Dear Lord I know you always keep A special place reserved for dogs when they quietly fall asleep With large and airy kennels and a yard for hiding bones With maybe a little babbling creek that chatters over stones With wide green fields and flowers for those who never knew about running freely under a sky of perfect blue I know You keep this special place and so to You I pray for my special German Shepherd who quietly died today He was full of strength and love and so very, very wise The puppy look that he once had, had long since left his eyes So speak to Stryker softly please, give him a warm hello For he’s a special gift to you from me, who loved him so (orig Jan Cooper 2004 - adapted) Stryker 25 April 1996 – 20 March 2007 Another star is shining in the sky tonight
