Yesterday Shilo the last remaining English Foxhound from my grandparents pack lost his battle against old age and started to collapse, rather than deny him his digntiy my grandmother made the decision for him to PTS. He now joins the rest of his pack on the bridge where my grandfather is waiting to once again call the "gone-away" on his gallant bucksin Sandyman.
Tina went a week before old age stole her away from us and her lungs began to collect fluid, i think missing her was what finally made Shilo give up. No more in pain, I know my beloved grandfather collected them both with open arms as he has all those of ours that have gone before.
Tina and Shilo i am a better person for having know you i will miss you both so much, but i am happy you are both no longer suffering from the ills of old age, you have both left an ache in my heart. Fly free and whole and young again at the bridge, until we meet again.
