  1. & Zulu and this one just cracked me up
  2. A weekend or two ago we had an impromptu photo shoot with the home crew. I havent done any post processing as im not very good at it (still working will get there eventually). Thought id share here Lunar Sienna
  3. Just lovely photos! I cant believe the photography talent on DOL - i think each and everyone of those would be a "framer" hope you have a lot of walls at your house!
  4. Im so sorry to hear this and i hope your little recovers well and quickly. Did you say you recently moved? Sometimes a major upheaval like that can really mess with the pack structure. I know when we moved house my previously peaceful older girls started a war that has lead to them both being permantly seperated. They can be in the same room together but for safetys sake when they are one is always crated. Its not worth the risk. Hope you are doing ok - its a horrible shock to see a dog fight.
  5. Oh sur sign me up for four ill pay for them as soon as i will the lotto.
  6. Sadly Its one of the very few times i didnt pick up a camera first - i sooo should have I was a bit worried the shame would overtake the happiness to see me and she would hurt herself trying to get off. The biggest problem was that we have very low cielings so GSP on Fridge = head touching roof. I swear its one of the funniest things i have ever seen
  7. Yes i came home to find a 26kg GSP on top of my fridge once - got up there to scoff some snacks and couldnt get down. The look on her face was priceless "on one paw im so glad you are home and can help me down ... on the other paw i am SOOOO busted" :D Smart dog!
  8. Elmo holds quite the attraction for Sienna - she has a tickle me Elmo and the more he says "that tickles" the more she throws him around ;) He has lasted a very long time ..... except for his eyes they dissapeared on the first day. :D I do the same thing, my plan is if anyone points it out to act suprised and exclaim that they wernt like that when i put them on this morning. Coupled with a pretense of looking for missing button/bauble/bow
  9. I was thinking about Flute this afternoon and her war against toothbrushes and coat hangers. I have never had a dog that consistently like to destroy one thing in particular. When she was really young it was random acts of destruction but she has narrowed her one dog war down to concentrate on toothbrushes and crocheted coat hangers. Now crochet coat hangers I can understand. You never buy them but there always seems to be some in your wardrobe AND I actually witnessed an unprovoked attack on Flute. A couple of months ago she was sitting quietly in my wardrobe (as you do) and with no warning whatsoever a particularly nasty green frilly one (from whence it came I have no idea) flung itself viscously at her head. She valiantly dispatched it and saved us from annihilation. My toothbrushes (and it is only my toothbrushes) on the other hand seem like such peaceful beings. I have no idea why they must be dispatched and really no idea at all why she feels the need to open the drawer to retrieve them. My toothbrushes are lucky to make it to the two week mark in my house. I am honoured that she is on the look out for my dental hygiene but perplexed as to the crime these poor objects are guilty of committing. I have to admit to that it is not a fast execution; the carrier of justice draws the process out with much flinging across the room and pouncing. She has been known to hide the offender inside her mouth when questioned (quite a give away when as I buy the electronic kind that emit a loud buzzing and causes her large chops to vibrate) and try to look innocent. She is also is the remover of squeakers from toys - I totally get this though, squeakers are clearly cohorts of coat hangers of the crocheted variety. Sienna on the other hand is the destroyer of all things edible and that’s about it, oh with the exception of toys with eyes - all eyes must be removed. What fixations have your dogs got?
  10. Hmm i dont know about a ninja - more like omnipresent. You will see her dissappear in one direction and as you are looking in that direction she will come thundering in behind you - no idea how she does it Flute is a Ninja in training - she can surf the bench quietly, locate an object quietly but the problem is then she will try and sneak it into her crate. To do this she must go straight through the loungeroom where we are sitting watching tv She always seems a bit perplexed when she gets busted.
  11. Oh Winterpaws i am so very, very sorry. You did your very best for your baby girl and im sure if she could have she would still be here with you. Such a beautiful tribute to such a lovely girl, you brought a tear to my eye. Rest in peace sweet Tina run free and whole again at the bridge. She will never be far from you - a bond like that can never be broken and if you close your eyes im sure you will feel her near you.
  12. These dogs are tableted and inoculated very regularly so that they can come back - i know there is a lot of information somewhere ill see if i can find it. Here is Sarbi's gallery on the Defence site http://www.defence.gov.au/sarbi/gallery/20100602/index.htm Recently in our local area a return serviceman's parents have finally succeed in having there son's detection job exhumed from over in Afghanistan and brought home. There son has been devastated as he lost him whilst over there and his mum had sent some wattle and gum leaves to bury with him. Now he finally has him home - brought a tear to the eye. Story here
  13. Shes a GIRL! :) ;) Yeah thats a fairly common occurrence for her! In this case its because one eye is looking at me and one eye is looking at mum who has a sausageroll!
  14. Yes please post a warning. Very sad and not just because of the loyalty of the dog but the callous people taking photos.
  15. As long as you introduce yourself and ask permission - and offer a copy of the photos to whoever wants them - just an email version - they generally wont care. We never did
  16. There is nothing worse then when they are sick or injured. Your girl must have had a gaurdian angel watching over her to be found and assisted by such wonderful people. It really is lovely that there are some people around that will still help. Im glad your girl is doing so well and hope she makes a full and complete recovery.
  17. Thanks Kirislin, I love your photos also, i love how you get your action shots so crisp but soft - i have a lot of trouble getting my action shots without blurring, i need to work on shutter speed a bit more yet. Im also working on getting my rear into gear and doing a few more of these challanges . No didnt get a horse at the horse sales - we have another one coming up next weekend - i always find them a very sad place to be . The men in that photo are all people that most people in our town would instantly recognise and the type that love to get together and talk "horse".
  18. My girls get Junior burgers sometimes when we go to maccas. We live in a small town and i worked there as a teenager so many of them know me. I get asked - will the girls be dinning tonight!
  19. Ok hopefully this fits in - caught these expressions on my friends horse when he had a bath after we went riding.I need to fiddle with the colours a bit more but thought id add them anyway. Hopefully this counts as documentry photography ...
  20. Wonderful photos Steve, thank you for sharing them. Been thinking of Jed all day today and sending out lots of healing vibes for her surgery (if that is today).
