  1. If this is still happening, I might bring along my 5 month old Kayla.
  2. Off topic sorry, but I would really love to see a recent pic of Boris, haven't seen him since puppy school, he must be HUGE by now How much does he weigh and how tall is he now?
  3. I have no advice on the preparing for flying part, but if you buy a crate that is rated for flying, you should be able to use your own crate and save $$$. The bonus to this is it will have her own smells in it which will probably be comforting to her. And it acts as a bed for her while you're staying down in melbourne.
  4. Thanks for the info, my shep puppy is being xrayed at desexing because she's a bit unstable/awkward in her back legs. May not be HD but the vet said if it is, then the TPO option would be available to her because she's under 12 months.
  5. C3 at 6 weeks, C5 at 12 weeks and booster C5 at 16 weeks is the norm I believe.
  6. I have the same worry with my pup. What I am doing is taking her to puppy school and also letting her play with friends/relatives dogs that I know are fully vaccinated and healthy. It is a slight risk that I think is outweighed by the benefits of socialisation. Just avoid places where lots of dogs frequent like parks etc.
  7. OMG! I missed this! I thought it was on tomorrow... And I had a participation spot too.
  8. Have emailed K9 as requested. Looking forward to the day!
  9. How is Mitchi going after her op? Lilly is home at last today and is feeling very sorry for herself after being spayed.
  10. Lablover that is a very generous offer thank you. Unfortunately I haven't been able to pick Lilly up from the RSPCA as she hasn't been desexed yet (waiting for her heat cycle to finish). She is booked in for the 15th, so realistically I would have to wait until the 30th anyway. I'm just impatient I've been waiting for my girl since I saved her from being PTS a couple of weeks ago. I'll be visiting her tomorrow to take her for a nice walk. She's 1hr 45 mins away from me but I've been going there every week to visit
  11. hi tollersowned, i will wait patiently and will look out for you and your pooches when I go. I will be the one with a black lab/wolfhound.
  12. Kristie you are too kind! I also live in Pakenham so if you're sure you dont need them I might just come pick one up from you. Lilly is a Labrador/Wolfhound, would they be an appropriate size for her?
  13. Thanks for the replies. I have rung them and the recorded message says it is join on first Saturday of the month and require vacc card. Too bad the first saturday is not until the 7th of October. Oh I remember bum bags... hmm... do they still sell them nowadays?
  14. Thanx Roxy's mum. Can you tell me if I need to bring anything else besides the dog? (and myself of course) ;)
  15. Thats good advice I think Kirty, thanks for that. I was told that when getting a halter, you should really get it fitted for the dog, rather than buy one in a packet from a pet store. Is this true or just a money grabbing exercise?
  16. Oh, and you say use a flat collar, but would this be a good idea for her as she really pulls on the lead? My partner wanted the check chain, I leant towards a halter.
  17. I will be taking the training for fun first and foremost! ;)
  18. Does anyone know if check chains are a no-no at this particular club? The lady at the RSPCA where I adopted Lilly from said some obedience clubs don't let you use them. Would a halter be a safer bet? Any tips on what to bring, what not to do etc would be good because I've never been to one of these clubs before. Thanks for any help you can give me ;)
  19. Bailey and Riley look very cool too ;) I might have to get some for Lilly
  20. I've never used the product but just had to say that he looks so cool with them on! ;)
  21. Peibe's got the right idea, turn your back to them and ignore them. Its working with my 7 m/o I just adopted.
