I absolutely love this pic I took of Lilly today, had to do something with it.
-
Thinking of you ISH, what you and Bayliss had was very special.
-
They will have a sheet of info on what you can and cant do. But I am pretty sure you will be able to offer him a small meal tonight at some stage tonight.
-
He will probably be back to normal tomorrow - just trying to keep them quiet is the hard part!
-
Good luck! I think he will be fine in the car. Kayla weighs nearly 20kg too - not easy to get in and out of the car. When we got home she slept all day and all night.
-
I picked Kayla up on my own after her desexing, she was so snoozy I had to carry her out of the vet office to the car, she didn't want to walk. So she was fine travelling in the car. Not sure if Zorro will be the same but I imagine he will be pretty out of it.

Hope it looks okay

My first dodgy attempt at merging photos. The cats weren't in the pic to start with. SOOOO dodgy! Looks fake

Here is one I just did for Kristie of her beautiful boy Barker. Oops - just made it a thumbnail cos it was a huge pic - click on it if you want to see it properly

Just realised I left the lead in the photo, have taken it out for you
-
Gave it a go for you

B-Man you were taken from us far too soon. You have left a great void in all our hearts and we will never forget you. I will miss our cuddles on the couch, and will even miss getting licked to death, you were such a sweet loving boy. You know we all loved you so much and miss you already. It just doesn't feel right without you. RIP Barker

Treatment Options For Hip Dysplasia
*Bella* replied to FlippingKazza's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Hi Bella, Hope all goes well with your x-rays and that it is not HD. If it is think long and hard before making any decisions on surgery and get all the info you can on all options available, if she does not seem to be in severe pain or pain at all from personal experience i would opt to try and maintain the HD first. But that is just my opinion. Give me a yell if you need any info. As i said in the last post Mallee has had the bilateral TPO and also after that she has had a bilateral femoral neck and head excision. Hope she is ok. ;) Thought I'd update to say that I had Kayla x-rayed and there are no signs of HD. Kayla is still uncoordinated with most activities including picking things up in her mouth, is unable to walk up and down stairs very well at all, has trouble sitting and lying down and she also has a high stepping gait where she throws her front legs out as she walks. She has been diagnosed as having neurological problems and I am currently giving her vitamin mega b tablets which may or may not help at all, but I cant afford an MRI to find out what's wrong. She is otherwise healthy and happy and should live a relatively normal life -
Have you tried using a crate and having it next to your bed? I recently used a crate for the first time on my 7mo (who would scratch and whine for ages if she was put in the laundry to sleep), put her in it next to my bed so she could see me and not a peep out of her all night.
-
My two absolutely love them! I would check out your local poultry butcher and ask them how much to get a box/crate of them as you will probably find they are much cheaper than the supermarket. Kristie recently got a box for $7 and there was 38 in there, lots more meat, skin and bits and bigger sized than the supermarket too.

I would like to come along with Lilly but not sure if it's okay because we would just be starting really, she doesn't know heel yet. My aim is to work towards trialling and agility etc. -
How about a large puppy pen instead of the lead? I would be worried that he would get tangled and hurt himself.
-
Have you checked to see whether there is anything happening outside of your yard to cause her to bark? Lilly my lab x wolfy barks at hours like that some mornings and it is usually when someone is walking next to our fence line or other dogs are barking. I usually just use the 'quiet' command and she stops.
