  1. The people I am very wary of on Flickr also are the ones that fav an image of mine, have a faceless icon, have no photos you can view on theirs and no profile info.. !!! I have emailed these people, but rarely will they ever get back to me.. then I usually block them to stop them favouring more of my images. Usually with these people if you click on their favs they have been collecting, they usually have similar looking images ! Grrr ! Some might be legit, but most of them aren't ! You don't have to right click on a photo to steal it, you can do screen captures too by the way..
  2. Hi Iltby... yes unfortuntely it happens, and it's amazing how many times you can find stolen photos in people's blogs too tlc... reducing size of an uploaded photo is a good idea because it will lose it's quality to be able to be used for anything too good.. However they can still be used for site icon images or wherever a smaller image is needed.. To some people who steal small images, it still has the potential to rake them in some good money !Grrrr My Joey in the Canola is now on many sites without my permission, and is alsp now some person's website's icon ! Grrrr ( that I've had no luck taking action again yet), and they only needed it to be an avatar size.. I am just starting to get into watermarks, most people hate them but oh well.... obviously the more difficult you make the watermark the more work photo thieves have cut out for them to PS them out ... and the more complicated you make them, they of course get harder to view ... Others on here who do Photography professionally might know more about it than me
  3. Oh that paddock is just out of Strath I think it might have been at Langhorne Creek ?
  4. LOL its my car ! ;) I should have PS the Plates out eeek ..oh well I've had it for over 6 years now:)
  5. Sometimes taking photos in paddocks doesn't really work ! hehehehehe !
  6. There might be some useful tips at this site ?? http://www.photographyreview.com/carphotoguidecrx.aspx
  7. Hi Ripley I'm not that much of an expert on taking pics of cars, so haven't got any real constructive advice to offer unfortunately .. However i took this one once, and I was pleased with it.. and this one but it was more an experiment with panning .. All the best with it, I am sure you will do very well! ;)
  8. Hi and welcome to DOL ! Congratulations on your new puppy ! I'm no expert on stuff like this let alone with puppies, but when we first got Joey (he was about 11 months), he had a very sickly tummy for the first few weeks... It was just put down to him leaving his home and mum, and that he does tend to have a sensitive stomach at times ( apparently 'some' Cavs are known too) There is nothing wrong each time, but with him it's always been more stress related... I did very slightly change his diet from breeders, which in hindsight I shouldn't .... He still get the occasional upset tummy .... but nothing has ever been found wrong with him when he's had tests in the past.. Hope your puppy gets over it soon. People in the Cav breed thread will also be more than happy to help you with your questions !
  9. RIP Sinna.. I'm sorry for your loss Griff...
  10. Thinking of you Lea.. Beautiful poem.. I still miss our Jenna badly a lot..
  11. I'm so sorry to hear about your Pepper, Wagsalot RIP Pepper
  12. In the past some photographers I know on Flickr have made fun of me when i mentioned about that I was thinking about 'watermarking' our images, but now that they have had stuff stolen/taken/used as well , they are starting to take it seriously and are watermarking their work now !! ...
  13. Yeah its not right what people get away with regardless that we are putting our images online, especially when they are marked copyright! Sometimes I think people think it's an easy and free place to get images for their business's/blog sites instead of doing it professionally !
  14. Hi I am not sure about the egg thing, everyone has different views on them for their dogs. I can't give eggs to one of my Cavs (Joey). They always make him throw up
  15. Hi everyone I usually cook up pasta and mince for my two for their dinners, and give a very small amount with handful of dry food. I have decided to try rice for a while instead of pasta.. We heard something said somewhere by this dog nutritionist that pasta isn't that good for dogs ;) ( not that I have even seen anything bad happen as a result of giving small quantities of it to all the dogs I have even owned ) Anyway Cavaliers are known for their burps hehe, but mine have never burped that much. They have just started since giving them rice.. So could it be the rice doing it, and why would it? It is cute listening to them, but not sure if it's 'normal' The rice is a wholemeal med grain one.
  16. So is sweet potato ok for them?? Isn't normal potatos bad for dogs?? What the difference?
  17. Hi BasTyra Our two have problems in that area as well (with their anal glands) I have them regularly cleaned out ( every few months) I have tried chicken necks, but it hasn't helped much .. I still give them chicken necks anyway.. I tried pumpkin as well, but maybe I've given them too much per serve, because it always gives them the runs eeek! Some dogs are just prone to it.. maybe it has something to do with his back as others have suggested?
  18. Hi staff&cav Hope your puppy is doing ok now? I would have thought she might be too young for chicken necks yet? But I'm not experienced with feeding puppies anyway so I wouldn't know.. Are you able to ask her breeder for advice as well? sometimes puppies are sensitive with their tummys when they leave their mums. I know Joey was a bit sickly when we first got him just from change of environment. Congratulations on your new puppy !
  19. Oh that's good to hear Rebane, about your dog's lumps not developing over theyears into anything nasty I'm not as worried now, as I was about it before ..
