  2. We stayed here once with both dogs http://www.dogzonline.com.au/accommodation...om.asp?name=268
  3. Hi MissCav It's been years since I have had a puppy (I got both mine when they were older), but I agree with the above comments/advice. He is still a baby. All the best with your puppy! can't wait to see some pics! I'm from SA as well Oh and welcome to DOL
  4. Slightly OT, but our Joey altho he's only young always has problems with sedation, but not with generals. We said something recently to vet with Joey's recent operation, because we were worried, and he said he's having a full general, not sedation, so he will come out it much better (and that is it safer than sedation) I didn't have time to ask why that is ? Anyway according to them, he came out of his recent GA just fine It's a tough call on a 'older' dog tho ..
  5. I have nothing helpful to add Westiemum, but please give your Andy gentle hugs from us all here in Goolwa ... I have never experienced anything like that before with my dogs, it must make you feel so helpless at such times. Hope he doesn't suffer too much with them, and that if it results eventually in him having to have medication, I hope that will keep him stable for you too WM ! xoxo
  6. oh course you can C ! Pepsi tends to grunt a fair bit tho
  7. Thank you JS Renae is such a motherly dog, i love her expression in that shot too ;-)
  8. As much as BC is a bit put out atm, he's still very curious about Pepsi ! hehe Thankyou, you will get to meet them soon when you come up Bellatrix
  9. about Gretel ! so typical of them ! yeah he's almost back to normal, he was busy heaping hubby build the bunnies new enclosures on Saturday (see photo section for pics of bunnies)
  10. Hi and thanks tlc ! Yes we are in new house now wohooooo ! yes loving it, thanks! It's great here ! Joey had to have a operation the other day tho (It's in the health grooming section), but he's doing very well !
  11. Thank you monie BC will be fine, he's 7 now and been through a really stressful time once (when my last dog got to him), and survived, so I am sure he will get used to having Pepsi around I think it's more just that his nose is out of joint atm LOL
  12. Hi monie I've been told male rabbits (even when they are desexed), can get very territorial, and aggressive towards each other. I asked in the rabbit thread on here, and people who own rabbits said they had had bad experiences in the past, and it's best not to put them in together. As much as BC is curious about Pepsi, because he is new here, BC was doing a lot of thumping around last night in his enclosure (which means he's not happy)
  13. I was rehomed another bunny today from a lovely family that were no longer able to put the time into him that he deserves. He's almost identical to Black Cloud but younger ! What were the chances of getting another black one the same as BC, but younger ! lol Pepsi, our new bunny not long after he arrived at our place . He's been desexed and is fully toilet trained:) Black Cloud (left) and new bunny Pepsi (right) and my finger lol Black Cloud (left hand side standing up) trying to introduce himself to Pepsi (right hand side) Renae cleaning Black Cloud on our bed ;-) Renae again with Black Cloud We are still setting up their enclosures, so they not fully decked out yet . They will be kept separate, and eventually we will allow them to free range in back yard, one at a time
  14. Hi Staffyluv, and thank you for asking about Joey He came home last night very sleepy, see pic, but had one burst of energy enough to chase Karma the cat around the loungeroom LOL This morning he had a huge sleep in, but is up and about now helping Hubby with some weeding. We had to put his satellite dish thing over his head tho, as he is now wanting to scratch at the stitches grrrr. His eye is a bit puffy naturally. His mouth doesn't appear to be causing him too much discomfort atm ( but then he's on painkillers) He's been eating well ! even a few small dog biscuits. Nothing stops a Cav eating ! ;-) Ollie sounds the same ! We didn't get to see the vet who did it (as he was consulting at the time we picked him up), but everything appears to be ok, and he has to have painkillers/antibiotics for a while and see the vet again in ten days. I think animals tend to get over things a lot quicker than us humans (in most cases) don't they .. Ps .. How is Ollie doing these days ? good I hope !
  15. I know Gretel it just seems like forever when you are waiting, doesn't it !
  16. I wonder how my little boy is going, I can't call them until about 2pm
  17. Thanks Bellatrix Well we had been putting it off because of us being busy with moving, and lack of finances, but when I went to see the vets here this morning (they are a partner to our other one we went to in Strath) about making an appointment for Joey, they said you best get it done asap, we can do it tomorrow !!!! I got all teary, but they just said gently it's best to get it over with it. Michael's just finished washing him, and is now trimming/grooming him for the big day. Joey is all excited atm, little does he know whats about to happen tomorrow :p BTW love ur siggy !!:D
  18. My heart goes out to you Karen RIP Bindi Thinking of you and your family at such a very painful time *gentle hugs*
  19. Well the time has come. Joey has been finally booked in for surgury tomorrow on his eye lid tumor and molars. It can't be put off any longer He doesn't usually come out of GA too well, but they know about it .. Hubby and I are feeling really anxious ! Renae (J's Mother) will fret too without her little boy by her side for the day ..
