I'll be back soon to give an update on the situation.. just got home now !! need lunch She's home, and is reasonably ok.. but happy to be home with us and Joey again!

Fair enough Crisovar, I will ask them when I go see her soon... But if the reason I had to keep her there was so she wouldn't get more dehydrated, and the drip came out at some point, as it had ( I realise nothing bad happened) but if that was the case and she didn't get full benefit of it, I might as well had her home here.. I will check with them.. I'm just bit upset and probably bit over reactive atm..

Thanks Mrs D.. yeah well we are in coastal country town, so we don't have many other options. We have been fairly happy with them in the past, altho they do seem to lack a bit of personal compassion at times imo. I am prepared to pay whatever if they get the right care and are monitored ..

She is crate trained (she used to be a show dog, and I crate her at times too).. but she must have been so frantic to get out it

Thanks Monah :D I was allowed to stay a few hours with a dog of mine once at another vets .. I just layed on a blanket next to him.. then went home when he was sleeping.. My husband rang them up (from work), and they told him about it, and said most likely she will come home with some medication and special tinned food. I don't know if they gonna run tests on her yet..

and they are charging me the earth as it is !! Well it seems she wasn't getting treated anyway there, if the drip had come out

I won't be leaving her there tonight, whatever they say ! I will manage her at home if i have too! I feel so sick and so stressed atm !!!

Long story cut short, our Renae had to stay at the vets last night to be put on a drip, as she she had been vomiting heaps, and had the runs bad.. I asked them if i could stay, but they said No.. but told me someone comes in and checks on them through the night.. She not used to being alone... Anyway I rang them up at 9am as they said too, and they said she had escaped out of her cage, and got out of her drip and found wandering the clinic this morning. They said she was a lot more perkier and had drank some water, but was still vomiting.. The vet is coming in at 11am to see her, and will make a decision what to do then.. I am not allowing her to stay one more night there! I will treat her at home if I have too! I'm so angry! It's costing us heaps just having her there with the drip (that she didn't get to much of anyway!), you would think they would have a vet nurse stay ovenight! It's not right having our precious sick pets on their own all night till the next morning ! Humans don't even get treated like that ! I am bringing her home after I see the vet regardless what they have to say!!!

Thank you, I will find out how she is doing this later this morning. She's still at the vets. I will give her a hug from you when she comes home

Thanks tlc .. she on a drip tonight at the vets... they don't think it's too serious at this stage. More just to monitor her, and get some fluids back into her..

Oh thats fantastic !! wohooo! I think a month's trial is a good idea, for both your family, and the breeder ! I love his name btw, it fits in with the timing of you meeting him (Easter!), not that I am overly religious LOL but I can see that it would get confusing with your son's name being the same ;-) I know one with the same name, but with a K, not C and h.. Please keep us updated ! ;)

Cmon, any news yet??? LOL I guess being school holidays, you would have ur hands full atm Italimum! (unlike me lol) ;-)

Glad it all went well Italimum ! Any news from the breeder yet?? We had to wait a whole afternoon for Joey's breeder to get back to us, but then she had been busy at a show that day as well We still had to wait a few weeks after she said yes, to get him, as she wanted to come and see our place and to say her goodbyes (it was so sad)

I'm loving all the pics, especially yours TLC ! Joey had a brief period of being sad and lonely because our other dog Jenna had to be pts (due to inoperable cancer), but then his breeder rehomed his Mother to us 'Renae' and and we all lived happily ever after ! It was really exciting seeing him reunited with his Mother, and they get on really well together !

Oh gosh, lucky for them they were found just in time by your friend New Age Outlaw ! Do you want me to cross post this in my CKCS face book group??
