  1. Thank you ~*Shell*~ I've put up pics of him in the cat threads (and did a post about him when I first got him late last year) He was kindly rehomed to me by the lovely Polomum :p
  2. Beautiful images Iltby, well done !
  3. Renae and me I don't normally wear pink/purple clothes or pink lippy lol, bit out of character for me, but I had been out somewhere earlier. I was lucky to even this shot, as Leroy was not happy about the camera in his face lol
  4. My pleasure ! ;) If you start getting into it regularly, I would rec commend paying for some of the extra features. It's not overly expensive
  5. It was Krislin and Frodo'Mum that said about it
  6. I do have to agree with persephone .. Hopefully there is someone you can get to check on her?
  7. Oh poor Gypsy There seems to be a doggy gastro bug doing the rounds atm. Our Renae had one a few weeks ago, and needed vet attention in the end. I have read lately about a few other dogs being sick in a similar way without any real reason .. Hope she picks up soon!
  8. lovely story itsmeg There are some responsible people out there too !
  9. I know Stormie, I can't either ! I remember doing a post about it in here after because I was so upset at what we had witnessed ! ..
  10. I have heard of dogs being taken from shows when the owners/breeders have turned their back away from their dogs/puppies for even just a little while
  11. What is with that !! grrrr ! My DH and I was at a show once where our Cav's breeder was with her dogs. She had a open dog pen in front of her tent with 2 of her older pups in it. Because we were hanging around close to them, our breeder went to spend a few mins with her friend in the tent right next to hers. We were standing next to the pen, and this Mother, Father and their little girl came up to admire the puppies. Without any hesitation the Mother picks up one of the puppies out of the pen and puts it down close to her daughter !! I think we said something quickly to them about it, and my DH went and told the breeder. She rushed over and told them off (and explained why it wasn't appropriate what they had just done!) I can't believe how people act like this! I would never go and pat any dog without the owner's permission first, let alone pick it up! ( if it was small!)
  12. Oh does it eeek. I am always online so I hadn't noticed ! I should have thought that since I have never downloaded it ! Well yeah that might be a problem for some people then
  13. You have to be so careful ! Years ago my parents had a GSD that was very gentle with kids, and had a great temperament generally. My Brother was about 10 I think, and he was standing on something talking over our fence to our next door's kid who was standing on something as well (it was uncapped unfortunely) Our GSD excited by the kids talking jumped and placed her paws where the next door's kid had his hands lightly on the fence.. It was a wet day, and the boy got nervous and as he jumped down in a hurry from the fence, he slipped and cut his hand open. He had to have microsurgury. The kid blamed our dog for causing it, and his parents went on to sue our parents (and even expected compesation for further phycological damage the boy endured later in life!!) We had the council come around to see if our dog was aggressive in any way and they couldn't see any evidence. They even rattled the fence from the neigbours side to stir her up. So even tho it wasn't our dog's fault entirely, my parents paid the price for that actual incident !
  14. Hi Burke I struggle with most of the advanced PS editing programs (my DH sometimes does my editing using PS), but for the most simplest easy to use one , I have found this quite good IMO. Picnik I do pay a small amount to have use of the extra features. There are some tacky aspects of it, but there are lot of functions that are very good, and quite professional looking once applied to your photos! I used to use Picasa, that's not too bad either for a very basic easy to use editing program. I prefer Picnik because you can do drop shadows in it. I couldn't do that in Picasa, unless they have added more features since the last time I used it? Perhaps u could start off with the easy use ones while you are getting confidence, and work up to some of more advanced editing programs ! All the best with your new camera !
  15. Hi I can't give you any advice sorry as to where to get them from , but I took a pic of a St Bernard wearing a big pink one at a dog show (at Callington SA) a couple years ago. Very cute, and a good idea ! ;-)
  16. Fleas seem to be a big problem everywhere atm !!! There's been 2 recent threads about fleas We have almost got the worse of it under control. I've never experienced it as bad as this before! We now live in a coastal town which fleas seem to love ! :D We had been getting them regularly sprayed with front line previously to them getting attacked. Been giving them capstar tablets and flea combing them every day. Horrible things they are-fleas !
  17. I've always wanted a tri colour Cavalier, but as fate had it two Blenheim's came into our lives instead (which was a very good thing !) BUT my next one is going to be a Tri not matter what !!!! ps.. The colour wasn't important to us, just that I still have my preference :D
  18. I'm sorry to hear this Italiumum It was good that there was at least a month's trial in place for both you and your breeder. I am not seriously allergic as such to our Cavs or cats but at times (and depending on the season), all their hair/fur will give me a sore itchy throat. In my case I can take an antihistamine to give me some relief. Asthma is different tho All the best
  19. I think I have our flea problem mostly under control now. Not out of the woods just yet tho. There's a recently been long thread about all the flea problems some of us dolers are having atm (in this section)
  20. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww !!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) She's gorgeous, love the pics !!!! Love her name too, it suits her! Congratulations ! That's great Charlie is taking to her so far Now I want one !
  21. Congrats on your new camera! Lovely shots of your pets !! Enjoy !
