Our Cavs usually only hump each other, and only when excited about something eg getting ready to go for a walk, after a bath, just before tea ... We over look it if its only for a few seconds, but if they get too silly and it goes on for too long, we do tell them off. It doesn't happen all the time, and they don't hump anything else. We don't tend to make a big deal out it ps.. I think Joey might have gotten a bit excited once when a friend bought her female cavs (desexed) over for a visit, but we did tell him off, and stopped him. Once again it was just because he was in a very happy mood that he had some other little dogs to play with

Oh yeah we had them in the caravan with us once we were at the actual caravan park, just not while traveling ;) Check this thread out about dog friendly accommodation. It might be of some help. Goodluck!
-
ps.. Not sure what you meant with ''how easy is to travel with dog in a caravan'? We never ever had the dogs in the caravan while actually traveling, they were always in our 4 wheel drive with us. You probably didn't mean it that way anyway I once saw a caravan park on a website, not sure which state it was in? but they had these undercover enclosures. I think they were fully fenced too. That would be a perfect option ! ;)

Hopefully you get some responses poochiemama, as there have been similar threads in the past. Maybe search 'camping with dogs' When we had our caravan (13ft), we sometimes took our 2 Cavs. Hubby built a temporary enclosure for the back of the caravan (where the door was), and filled in under the caravan so they couldn't escape. However they only went into to do their business and only under supervision. It was fun having them with us, except the times we went when it was bad weather. They would jump up on everything and by the time we came home the inside of the caravan would be totally muddy eeek! So I don't recommend taking them during winter months lol We picked caravan parks that allowed dogs, as long as they they don't make a nuisance of themselves. We have also stayed at a dog friendly B@B, which was more enjoyable IMO ;-)

I just buy those cheap disposable see through containers at Woolies, and stack them on top of each other. There's 2 different sizes I think. I do replace them from time to time because they eventually crack. They work fine for me

Hopefully you get some helpful responses Tibbiemax I think most of the dol photographers lean towards Cannons. Those who own them seem happy enough with them going by all the camera threads on here My DH and I prefer Nikons. It just comes down to personal preferences, and which ones feel most comfortable for you to handle. Both brands are really good and ideal for what you want to do. All the best with whatever camera you get, and with the photography course ! PS.. We also own a fuji on a nikon body which is very good too in it's own way.

Teaching My Class About Responsible Pet Ownership
julesluvscavs replied to MsKatie's topic in General Dog Discussion
Sounds like a great idea KPM ! :D Maybe bring up to them (while on the subject of pets) about never approaching a dog without asking for permission from it's owner/handler first Maybe you need to bring in their parents as well ;-)
