I think thats a very suitable name CC ! i love names with meanings :) btw its not lame how you choose it! Miah (pronounced My ah) means the moon (Aboriginal meaning) which is very symbolic to us, and shes got Moon Light in her registered name too :)

I do worry about puppies being left outside if noone is home, but maybe thats just me. Even our adults dogs stay indoors if we aren't home. We have 2 cats and about to get our puppy soon. The cats own our spare room, and there is a baby gate on it so if the cats need to have their space, they can resort to their own room if it comes to that without the Cavs or soon to be puppy invading their space ;-) All our pets including our bunny sleep inside at nights :)

It is Lisa ! Deep down I was wanting a girl but never put in a request for one as cavaliers sometimes can have very small litters, so the chances of getting one wern't high even if there was going be be more than one tri colour pup (altho the mum was a tri, the dad was a blenheim). We were just excited if we were getting one at all ! So the breeder had no idea about my personal preference for a girl. We would have been just as happy of course with a boy ! Anyway she had 2 of each colour, and in each colour one of each sex. I was sure she would keep the girl, but she decided on the male tri and i think one of the blenheims. So it was really fate how Miah has come into our lives Its all about the timing whats meant to be I believe.. Its great your breeder is staying in touch and communicating with you, even at this stage, so was ours. Communication is what we highly look for in the breeders of our Cavaliers :)

We had been too LisaCC, its been a very long process but totally worth it ! We were never promised a puppy, it was dependent on if the Mother to be (I hate saying Bitch lol) took too the mating, on the number of puppies she had, if they developed healthily, if there were any tri coloured ones (as thats only what we wanted) and dependent on which and how many the breeder wanted to keep for herself (which they like to often wait to see which one has the most show quality potential) but we got there in the end ! We also were hoping she would have them on our 8th wedding Annversary, which did mean she would have to come earlier than her due date for that to happen, and it did happen that evening ! :) ps... Thats fantastic !! hope it was successful and it all goes smoothly ! exciting times ahead for you Lisa, if she has taken Our breeder has been really good at keeping us updated all through the whole process :)

Thank you Aussie3 She's been a long time in the waiting ! It will be the first time I/We have ever experienced a puppy (well my parents were breeders when i was a kid, but thats different, they were never mine !)

Oh so close now CC wohoooo Well its looking like the official date of Miah coming to live with us will either be the 9th or 10th of Feb, so not much longer !!

Many years ago I had a GSD x Heeler that had both done (different times). My one regret was I wish i had known about crates back then! I never really was able to keep him rested properly after post ops, and I don't think they ever healed as properly as they should off . He went on to develop arthritis later and it got so bad, I had to have him pts So if the vets says strict rest, and restricted movement thats what they mean ! All the best with your son dog's operation. Hope all goes well and smoothly :)

Hi :) I have used the Royal Canin for Cavaliers in the past, and I often now use their dental one for our Cavs . I've even given the cats the RC dry food also (the feline version) I have always been happy with it, just wish it was a bit cheaper :) Currently one of our Cavs in on a Hills Science presciption dry food without any issues :)

I know its not to do with a dog that i have had that experience with , but I had one years ago, altho not caused by a grass seed ! They were worried about lancing it for the reason it might have caused some nerve damage to around that area , but luckily they decided to leave it a bit longer, and it actually burst on its own! the taste was the worse taste I have ever tasted! They said it could come back, but it never has, that was over 15 years ago! Mine was under my tongue in that bit under it.. it was very painful and was getting difficult to swallow !

Your puppy is very cute !! :) Our puppy we are getting has been started on raw food, and we will continue her on it when she comes to lives with us.

Ive just ordered the petzlife one, its been recommended to me by people who have Cavs. Its exxy but I was able to source it here in Australia.(its manufactured in America) Hopefully it works as brushing their teeth regularly with dog toothpaste had not been effective, neither was the green additive stuff which the vets suggested we use in their water ( we don't trust it to be honest) I cant wait to get it and try it !

Oh ive used the rufus and coco itch one before, i cant remember now if it dyed their skin orange? if it did, its now gone. Ive always been happy with their products. In fact I just liked the fb page after you wrote about there being one Mel lol Ive used calamine lotion in the past for their itchy skin, but that will dye them pink (temporarily) lol You still need to get to the cause of the problem tho.. it could be a seasonal allergic reaction? its not flea/tick bites?

It is going seem the longest wait, these last couple weeks dogsforjane , even tho we have been waiting for months and months for all this to happen! :) Ive been looking for stuff online to help pass the time and trying to keep distracted in general lol Thank you :)

Yes thats true Sandra ! Ive got a little tatt on my chest and I have been sunburnt badly over the top of it in the past ouch !

Hi CollieChaos :) Could you also ask his breeder, they might be able to advice whats best for his nose and also and if it will colour up more? :) Most breeders are usually more than happy to be asked questions about their breed :) We had a foster dog at one stage with pink on her nose and i used just a very small amount of kid friendly sunscreen lotion on him .

:) Miah will be 8 weeks old tomorrow, but she will stay with her breeder until 10 weeks.

How lucky are you CollieChaos, 3 more days !! Your baby is totally gorgeous !! How old ?? You may have said in a previous comment but theres so many of us getting puppies, so its getting bit confusing remembering every ones details ;-)

Awwwww he's gorgeous !! I love how your son is so excited about seeing Remy again! Glad you are able to go and visit him and the breeder again this weekend ! You sound like a wonderful family that he will be going to live with later!

Yes about 2 weeks for us too from tomorrow ! Yay (see above reply to Sujo) :) Our breeder said we can go visit again, but its just for us its too far to go easily.. and with only 2 weeks to go, I guess that time is going fly quickly now, hopefully!
