  1. Latest update. Her first video (best with sound on)
  2. We are going through it as well with our almost 11 year old cavalier Renae.. She was recently diagnosed with a supposingly serious liver problem that the vets still don't know what is exactly going on with her. Shes not ill at such, but she has her bad days. She still moves freely, but sleeps a lot more now, pants a fair bit and gets the shakes. She is looking old. But other days she perks up and its hard to believe shes getting old and might not be around much longer. Theres not much we can do atm apart from giving her lots of quality time and love.. Its very difficult watching them age. At her age now, if she goes any more downhill, we will not be doing anything invasive to her (shes already had some tests done which arn't coming back conclusive). Like our last dog Jenna, I guess we will know when 'its time' Renae has had a good life with us and her previous breeder owner and we always say any extra time we get with her from now on will be a bonus :) There have been Cavs that make it to a really old age, ( 14-17) but generally they don't . I do feel for your Rascalmyshadow *hugs*
  3. Awwww:) so far some of us are experiencing really good little puppies.. Im sure their other side will come out the more confident and at home they feel ! Cant wait to see pics of Flynn ::) Awwww he's very cute !!! its a wonderful feeling isn't it when they finally come to live with you !
  4. Ive seen our cavs do it wiith flea allergies.. Its not all the time tho.. mostly seasonal..
  5. Lovely tatts everyone! I had my 2 done a hundred years ago when they weren't fashionable. Went with a girlfriend to get our first ones done. I have often wanted a couple more, i always wanted to get a small redbelly snake done on the underside of my wrist (im into red and black) and snakes tatts are quite symbolic. I have often also thought about getting a diabetic insulin dependent id tatt as i don't like any of the medical alert jewelry. Anyway here are the two Ive got.. a redback spider on my butt (yes i know weird but ive always had a thing for them and they are red and black) Theres also a very funny story about it as well, And my other one I have on my boob and its Chinese for mind, body and soul. Well I hope thats what it means! Excuse the stretchmarks, I didnt have them when i first got my tatts Over the years I often forget i have that redback tatt unless the subject comes up like it has in here lol

  9. Thank you Sujo Todays the day Misteri and Sujo, Enjoy !! and what a very special day to be getting your puppies on too !
  10. Poochmad, our 2 are still being quite standoffish with Miah, so the couple of pics I have managed to get of them isn't generally like that lol It will take time to work out their pecking order, especially as Miah is very in their face as puppies are lol I did a new update today about it but with Miah and Renae this time :) http://julesluvscavs.blogspot.com.au/ BTW i love the name Jindi, does it mean anything?? :)
  11. Well i can relate to where you are at re waiting Lisa :) Ive never heard of that series. Sounds like it will be perfect distraction for you ! :) Puppyhood is fantastic, altho very tiring !! Im 46 and not in the best of health so its quite full on, least i have a very supportive husband. Loving it all tho! Puppies do nap a lot but they also get up very early in the mornings which im not used too Yay Bet you are feeling as excited as I was at that point !!

  14. I'll see it if comes on with the 6pm news as well :)
  15. Oh im not totally sure, i came in when it was on and missed the first few seconds sorry..
  16. there was just something on the news before (on our 5pm SA news on channel 10) about a staffy x that was stolen from a suburban coles (it had been left tied up while owner was inside shops) .. Luckily some cops came across it or something and was able to return it to its owner..
  17. Good tips there Pers.. Im trying to implement that atm with my new puppy.
  18. Thank you ES And how's this bit going for you? Well............. i must say I am impressed so far with her at night times, shes been better than I thought she would be! Hardly any crying and goes out (if we wake up to her whimpering to do her wee's and number 2's. The only whimpering is mostly to let us know she needs to go! :) She is very spirited and cheeky and I can see that she will be very testing at times in the near future The only really naughty thing she does is trys to bite my shoes, feet, skirts a fair bit, but if i say firmly No or do a bit of a growl or even distract her with a toy, she usually stops fairly quickly. I know its not always going be such smooth sailing lol we cant believe how confident and comfortable she feels here already! :)
  19. Her breeder is really lovely Lisa . And thank you :) So whats the latest with your puppy to be , any news yet?? Keeping very distracted is always helpful in these situations
  20. Thank you raz Im all excited atm as this is the first time ive ever owned a puppy in my 46 years of life
  21. Sorry to hear about your Bon's health Juice *gentle hugs for you and her* I just cant believe how many dogs I am reading about in here and i know off (not on here) that are having liver issues lately.. Renae had elevated liver enzymes not long ago, is doing ok atm, but she has good and bad days. She has to have another blood test soon. They are still not sure what is actually going on with her. Sorry to hear about your Whippet also Crits N Bits
